Yeah thats basically what happen. My insurance valued it and they said it was totaled. I took the check and replaced it with the jeep.
I have farmers insurance. so it was pretty simple.
    1. I notified my insurance (next day after the accident)
    2. They reached out to me to see where the vehicle was located. ( 2 days after the accident)
    3. they picked it up and gave me a value (a week)
    4. Received an email/call about what the value was. And received the cash that day.
    a. there was 3 ways to receive the money. Check (7-10Days), Direct deposit (2-3 days), or pay to debit Card (30 Mins).
5.I also ask about my aftermarket parts and if they will pay for it. they paid for a few of them. not all of them. but same situation i got an email saying how much it would cost and paid me same day.

I appreciate the explanation. Did they give you any grief for swerving? You were not at fault, correct? My Grandmother had a wreck 20 years ago when she swerved to keep from hitting a car that pulled out in front of her. Her insurance co tried to say it was her fault because she went off the road. I don't recall how it all turned out.

No, they honesty didn't care what happen. They basically said glad you're alright. And here's the cost of the car.

Sorry to hear about your Tacoma. Congrats on the new jeep. Lucky for you Baja Designs has a wide variety of jeep available lights and if you still have some of those light takeoffs from the Tacoma I can help you out by piecing together some options. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to get any lights on this Jeep.
