I often go out by myself as well. Going one on one against mother nature is an amazing feeling. Do you have a life straw incase you run out of water? 30 mile hike is serious business, bring a fly rod or fishing rod and living off the land will be a bit easier. Where you going this weekend? From the sound of it your into the same type of outdoors activity I prefer. I do some brutal hikes, but 30 miles is beyond my toughest hike. We'll have to do a trip too, maybe you could come out with me and Infra, and my buddy Kody. We can hone you into a skilled fly fisherman, and you'll have one extra outdoors survival skill. 4 piece fly rods back pack very well.

I'm very interested. I'll have to check my schedule, but I bet I could make it work.

I've also been trying to get some trips to Wyoming and Montana going . I'm doing a Colorado Alpine trip in late June this summer. Takes that long for ice off. :(

Its going to go great with his lifestyle. You see his profile pic ...well thats our infra. He is a manly man. The kind of man that men sit around a fire and tell stories about his bravery and greatness. He has a bear skin rug. Its not a dead bear it is alive its just to afraid to move. He once swam across freezing waters once holding nothing but his fishing pole in one hand his boat in the other and a fish in his mouth . You may be asking yourself why he didnt use the boat.... well its cause that would have been the pussy way to survive. He is a mans man .... his name is jason

this will be my first time by myself! im stoked!
i dont have a life straw, but i have iodine tablets!
the furthest hike i have done is 12 miles, so this is going to be a major challenge.
but the good part is i need to cross 3 roads to get to my location so if i cant do it, i can easily stop and have my dad pick me up.
i dont have a fly rod, but ill be bringing a small fishing kit and some fast hooks (fish snares, these things are badass and im really excited to put it to the test.
i am actually just going to my bug out location. which is 30 miles away from my house, gotta make sure i can do it!

i would love to go out with you guys sometime! let me know!
