Handbrake mounted and brake lines ran, wiring all cleaned up, re ran the fuel lines and cleaned up everything under the truck, fired it up with no issues after sitting for months, and finished up a few small details. Biggest things left to do are mount my harnesses, build the driveshafts, and get some fittings and bolts and put the windshield back in. So so close:D

Any videos of this thing? Great build! Some people just throw money at builds on pointless stuff but you seem to be spending it all in the right places in my opinion.

So, updating this since i havent posted in awhile. Truck is "done" for now. Cage is complete, 6 speed is in and it runs great and drives so much better than with a th400. Im rolling with the stock rear end for now until i get my 9" center section built and get my housing built up. When that happens i will be giving the rear suspension a "refresh". Ditched the 4x4 because i know im just going to grenade the front diff and i dont want the headache so its leaving. Because of that i will be upgrading some of the front end components that i have been wanting to do.:Dalso i can throw as much power as i want to at it with out worry of breaking the front end:yay: but for now its mostly done for a bit. So now i have a built th400 for sale and a 2 speed atlas for sale if anyone is interested

I Would just like to say... WOW you have the best taco I've ever seen (no shade to other great builds i've seen on here). I know there are tons of full size prerunners out there with more power and more travel. But nothing comes close to this for us taco enthusiasts. I'm finishing up my engineering degree relatively soon and plan to transform my truck into a monster somewhere in this neighborhood before i settle down and have big Boy responsibilities. I will definitely be pulling from here quite a bit. I saw you ditched the 4x4 when you went 6 speed. If you had chosen to keep it, does the atlas bolt up to the manual or only the th400?

sorry of the late reply, appreciate the compliments!

when I put the 6 speed in, the atlas was setup to divorce mount, the atlas will only bolt up directly to the 400. with the way it was setup, I couldn't get the mid shaft angle flat enough which made it very unhappy. the only way to make it work in my truck, was to lower the motor and trans and redo everything I've done, mounts and the exhaust, or raise the seat which can't happen because my head will hit the roof lol. easier to just ditch it and one less thing to worry about as a weak point. now I can throw all the power to the rear and not worry about the front end

@Long_Travel_2002 new member here, and I just came across your build. WOW, and this is coming from an older dude who love muscle cars from the 60's and 70's. You sir have one serious badddddaaaasssss Tacoma. I'm going to assume that you had some serious mods done for mounting the engine and transmission, so that it would mesh with the 4x4 system. My only question is , did you leave the Toyota Rear End, or swap it out for something way more appropriate for the HP of the LS1.

thank you sir! yes I left the stock rear end just temporarily while I was starting to build my new rear end. it lasted all of 2 weeks which was expected. and I also ditched the 4x4 as I knew it would just be a headache in the future. I don't use it enough to be worried about it and now I don't have to worried about it in the future when it gets even more power.
