Figured id give a small update, rear 9" is about done, waiting on 1 axle shaft and need to order 1 shorter brake line, and need to weld on shock tabs. Biggest hold up is im going on 2 months waiting on my spindles from solo motorsports

Finally got the truck back running with the new spindles and 9 inch Ford rear end. Already got a new deaver leaf setup on the way and bypasses in the works finally. Truck does much better with a 4.88 over 4.10. Super happy with everything 20190414_114009.jpg20190414_114018.jpg 20190414_114047.jpg

the truck is pretty much where I want it to be for the time being. theres a few small things left that I want to do, get the AC back working, and a new much stronger driveshaft. I think a blower is in the works down the road as well:D Never enough power. thinking about going with a LSA blower setup, should make around 600-650 rwhp.

well this is the last thing I would have wanted to post here but the tacoma had a massive failure. The trans failed and locked up on me driving down the road and attempted to rip it self out of the truck. it shattered the bell housing, destroyed everything internal of the trans, and destroyed the engine block. it ripped the starter off the block and took several other chunks with it.. I took the trans apart to try to see if I could find the fail point, I think it was a combination of the input shaft failing, and the output shaft being bent and causing a vibration that over time destroyed the innards of the trans. I had a 2.5 inch driveshaft built for it and it withstood everything but still had a bad vibration, tom woods built a custom 4 inch shaft that I installed that morning. I made it 1 mile with the new driveshaft. I think the new bigger and stronger shaft didn't take the vibration as well as the old one which put all the force on the trans which caused the explosion. time for a massive rebuild with way more power!
