Yeah I thought this was a piss poor way to ship this product. Mine had the top corner dented in but no leakage.

this showed up and that surprised me because I didn't get a confirmation email or anything... the sealant is thicker than say meguiars but it seems to work alright I put it on my tailgate and it feels slippery after buffing w a microfiber rag. I reapplied to some scratches and even though I don't think this product is necessarily for scratch coverup/repair it made them much less visible. All in all I'm stoked to have a free bottle of polymer sealant!! Would buy again if I saw it in a store, or from Amazon.

I would blame USPS as they probably stuffed it into your mail box. Mine shipped fine. Just waiting to wash but it was raining still.

    -------

Rain stopped. Went to car wash. car wash left mad water stains. Applied this to my hood This stuff ads a lot of gloss to the vehicle. I have the hood scoop and don't notice extra reflection back to me but I can see the shine.

In the past I have used Nu Finish but it is not even close to the shine this product gives. It also smells better.

Time will tell on staying power.

Glad to read your report! Going to put some on my black princess this Sunday morning. Probably put another coat on end of October to get me through the winter.

Washed my truck, clay barred it, and then used this product last night. Very easy to use and seems to do well. Probably do a second coat in a week or so for extra protection for fall and winter

Was the humidity high? It is running 100% here in southeast Illinois and I'm wondering if the sealant will dry. Took my floor mop 4 days to dry hanging out in the sun this past week.

Wasn't too bad for once this summer. My biggest problem was it started getting dark and the dew was keeping it from drying good.

Gave her a bath today. Just washed, then used the paint sealant. Gonna put a second coat on tomorrow. Paint is definitely smooth and scratches are much less noticeable.

Washed, buffed out some pinstripes using a show glaze and applied the paint sealant. Have to say, I'm very pleased with it. Super easy to apply. One thing I will add for anyone that hasn't done it yet is that since this product is a polymer (synthetic based), you have to wait a bit longer for it to haze up before you buff it out. Normal carnauba wax will dry for me once I worked my way around the truck and I can start buffing it out immediately. This stuff required a bit more time to haze all the way. Directions on the bottle say 15-20 min and that's about right. A good way to test it is to swipe your finger over it. If it smears, it's not dry (obviously); if it wipes away you're good to go. That might be a reason people have had trouble not getting a good shine with this so far. Truck is shining like a diamond in a goat's ass now. I'll post pictures tomorrow, but just like anything pictures don't really do it justice. As a teaser, here's a before:

Wonder about the longevity of the sealant on top of the glaze? I have decided to leave my bottle of sealant in the closet for now and use Duragloss in a week or so whenever the humidity is not to bad. I missed a perfect morning yesterday. After washing my truck yesterday morning I dried it off and could see allot of spider web fine scratches in the black paint. I hate it but brother said just to get used to it!

Just did a detail of a black Escalade... Ugh don't know who detailed before but it looked terrible for 6000 miles. It's all in your wash procedure.

Most usually recommend glaze on top of sealant. Chemical Guys is the only one I see who says glaze before sealant. Doesn't make since to me since sealant needs bare paint to adhere....I thought.

I washed, clayed and polished my truck before applying the sealant. Rained that night, looks good. Used Chemical Guys V38 on a white polishing pad. It didn't get the deep scratches out; it made them less obvious, but it would have been midnight before I finished if I did a two step polish. The surfaced looked like new, very smooth and glossy before I applied the sealant. Actually my wife was applying the sealant after I polished the panels. Let it dry for 20 - 30 minutes before buffing off. Truck looks almost new again; wondering how long the sealant will last in the Florida sun.

Pictures do not do the shine justice. These were taken today and I applied the sealant on Saturday.

If you pay the postage I'll send you my bottle in a USPS flat rate box. I have never used it, only dug the bottle seal out from under the cap.
