Years ago my dad mistakenly filled my grandmothers fuel tank half full of diesel. He topped it off with gasoline and we went for a looooong drive to burn it out. He was in the oil business and an engineer to boot. Said it would run a little rough but actually help burn off carbon deposits (I think that's what he said.) It was in her 1983 Caprice. We lived in NM at the time and we drove waaaaay out toward Albuquerque and back, then topped it off with gasoline. Everything was fine. I'm pretty sure it had a carb. Maybe TPI...

Im pretty sure the diesel is larger but the gasoline would fit in the diesel hole...IIRC...

Gas burns to hot and it is under to much pressure, it doesn't take long to burn a hole in a piston.

UPDATE: the fuel test i was told would be ready Friday, now will be next thursday. The run around starts, just as i expected.

I called an independent company to do a test on the fuel, they are getting me pricing and a timeline. They work with big companies so my individual one time test is not a priority.

Not surprised they put diesel in your truck. Just by looking at it, from an ignorant point of view, I would think it's a diesel truck.

This all seems very complicated OP and I wish you the best in resolving this issue.

I know. Just sharing a funny story about how it can be to be easy to make the mistake gas in diesel or vise versa. But I guess I see how it looks like I was offering advice...

Somewhat related. some states in US can not have self serve (New Jersey comes to mind) If you get a stubborn attendent who insists on filling the tank all the way, the gas may fill up your carbon canister and wreck it. I always get out and watch so they never over top it off when filling.

Why don’t you try Blackstone Laboratories in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They test oil, transmission fluid, fuel, things like that. I’ve sent them a few samples.

However I don’t know the logistics of sending a fuel sample overseas.

Even if the testing shows there is 40% petroleum in the diesel, they could easily say their tank was full of diesel and they have video of them using the diesel pump. Blame it on a previous fill up before hand, and claim that with the test results. I think this will be a hard fight and in the end you will probably be screwed. Not sure how things work in Thailand but the time and aggravation just may not be worth the fight, and you could end up losing anyway.
