That's the kind of comments that make this TacomaWorld forum so friendly....I think I did this kind of stuff when I was in my teens...

 

I think its a great post. When dealers like this and Longo Toyota post here, prices are gonna drop. If they were selling like hotcakes, they wouldn't be spending their time online.

Did they make you that good of a deal?

 

Well it's a long story for me. I preordered back in August from my local dealer here and was expecting delivery last month. Finally one day the dealership calls me and tell me somehow my order had been put in as a sport and not an OR and it will be in the following day. They then tried to offer to place another order that would be in around Jan-Feb because they didn't understand why I wouldn't settle for the sport.....

I then told the nice people at that dealership how I felt about the situation and hung up the phone and got on a car finder website to find this truck, the exact truck I ordered minus roof rack. I called up Putnum, got my price out the door, bought a plane ticket, and was driving out of the lot within 24 hours of speaking to them.

In the long run I spent more money doing this because my girlfriend and I turned it into a almost two week vacation on the drive home across the country, but I got to wheel it a few awesome places on the way home.

 

She sure is a pretty one.

DID U CHECK other Toyota dealers in Kentucky? I'm from SE KY and the Somerset Toyota dealer has one just like that one (unless u have some extra JBL system)....Its been on their lot since late Sept...and it was STILL sitting there as of last week!
