I was planning on replacing the OEM rear TRD stickers with the larger PRO graphic like this.

    il_570xN.1473833721_a14d.jpg

After getting the stickers off it turns out I like the truck better without.
    20190630_112209.jpg

Makes the retro FJ40 badge stand out more too.

And here I thought I liked the originals just wanted something bigger. I guess less IS better in this case.

Here's the before and after side by side.

It looks much better without the bedside graphics.

It looks good but I’ll go against the grain here. I actually like the larger graphic better.

Yep, I agree. It's a much cleaner look and makes it different from all the other QS ORs I have running around my area.

I think part of the issue is the stock TRD OR/Sport decals have a rather outdated 10-year-old look to them.

TBH, I hate the pro graphics. Just way too much for my liking. What surprised me is that I actually like the regular TRD graphic. I was actually considering removing it but after the before and after pics, I think I’ll leave it. Thanks for the post...

Edited to add: what I really don’t like about the stock OR decals is the red. I’m thinking about getting one entirely black to better match my truck.

Once I saw them on the Tundras I knew I wanted to change it, they were getting too common.

I just didnt expect the change would be removing it completely. Truck looks great without it.

I like the no graphics look. They shouldn't go on until someone buys the truck IMO. Are the standard issue TRD bedside decals applied at the plant, or the port?

Isn't it a Chevy thing anyway?

I remember the 88 Chevy half-ton 4wds would sport a 4x4 logo or the Z-71 off road graphic. I can recall Ford doing this too, Chevy is where I saw this first.

Not sure what the 70's trucks had going on, but I know the Power Wagons were pretty flashy, and graphics were popular back then.

I think it would be cool if they had the TRD embossed on the end instead of the sticker like the tundra minus the pro
