I have owned guns for over 20 years and still do. A few things they do top notch, the rest which is about 90% BS. I quit giving them my cash. Give them a try and figure it out. That's all I'm gonna say.

My dad bought me a lifetime membership for my 10th birthday. Yeah some of their stuff is bs but they are one of the leaders in fighting gun control so they have my support.

You may sell ammunition that is interchangeable 1. between rifles and handguns to a buyer who is at least 18 years of age if you are satisfied that he or she will use the ammunition in a rifle.
Regardless of less restrictive State and local age 2. requirements for firearms and ammunition purchases, you must adhere to the above Federal mininum age provisions.

private sale is legal at 18(unless the state changes the age) and you can buy 40 caliber ammo for your rifle(i have a keltec Sub2k which uses a pistol caliber but its a carbine) those are rules for federal firearm licensees....

It was a good thing to see many of our Taco Membership supporting NRA. ( I also am a life member since 1973 ) Remember it's one of the few organizations out there that protects our gun ownership. Like i said before, for the cost of a Oil change. Give you a yearly membership and a magizine with cool stuff to read...

I'm a member, just renewed for 3 yrs. I believe they do more good to protect our rights than they do bad.

Like any organization working in a political environment, you're not going to agree with everything. And some of the "junk mail" and so forth is just part of the process...I'm sure it helps fund their efforts...it can be a little irritating...but it's not that difficult to drop the BS offers in the recycle bin.

I haven't received anything unsolicited that required me to return it to avoid being charged...that's a little weird.

    And I enjoy the magazine.

    Just joined a year ago.

Funny, but I was pre-warned about them (from a lifer co-worker) that they'll constantly want your money even after joining. So, that's a bit annoying.

You'd think - they'd save themselves some money in print, processing, & shipping of all the crap they send you if they'd have a 'do not bug me' list. People who don't want the extra crap sent to your homes or e-mails.

You can stop all of that , I did. Email them, identify yourself and
tell them to quit sending you all of that crap. They stopped it all for me.

Life member, Endowment member, they are in my Will & Trust.
All in all a great organization for the individual. Without them you
wouldn't be able to own a firearm.

Used to be a member years ago. I quit after receiving panic mail what seemed every two weeks bitching about how they need $50 right now to fight this or that bill.

I'm not against the concept of the NRA, just the way it's run and their end-goal which seems to be a gun section in every 7-11 and regressing back to the days of cowboys shooting each other in the street.

you do realize that shootouts weren't all that common and the crime rate was lower in the wild west right?? you use to be able to buy guns in most stores and the crime was lower.... and then you watch stuff like tombstone and that shootout was perpetrated by Govt.....

Remember they count on private donations to protect your Rights.... They are Not a goverment, like ACORN, group getting monies to take your rights away... Remember what happen to other Great Nations when Gun confiscation became law..
