An ancillary benefit is the fact that a lot of gun shops and indoor ranges give you small discounts if you are an NRA member. It may only be 5-15% off but it adds up over time. Heck, a 5% savings covers my sales tax on a gun or gun related stuff... who doesn't love that?

I've been a member for several years now and I'm glad I joined. I do, however, get rather annoyed at the endless solicitations for donations.

I am an NRA memeber too, if you check out Shooting USA, they will pay $10 of your membership. Just thought I would pass it along :)

I am an NRA member and a NRA certified Rifle & Shotgun Instructor. I teach safety and teqnique of BB guns to Webelos, .22's and Shotguns to Boy Scouts. I don't even have a child of age or my own gun but the local scouting group was in need of instructors to open their range. Help out if you can.

NRA dues also go to Grants for guns and ammunition for groups that teach the next generation. Scouting is only one of them.
