NST intake manifold spacer...increased low end TQ and +3mpgs for $300?

    I've seen them do wonders for other motors....should be no different with ours.

    so they are really going to claim a 100 hp increase at 3000 rpm. seriously. did they forget to mention the turbo that they added at the same time?

    Where do you see that? If anything, it's only around 5 hp.

    Lets see the averages of 10 dyno runs without, and 10 dyno runs with, alternating. What I see in that graph is more or less noise.

    And if they could get 3mpg and 5hp with a spacer--don't you think Toyota would have just made it a factory part?

    ..........or at least a TRD accessory. The price/performance ratio is kinda steep.

    4.56 gears, rear trutrac,DT header, 235/85r16 Duratracs, 2nd filter pulled, inter.wipers, Cruise control, Factory alum. whls/winter tires(2nd set), Afe pro Dry-S , Dumbo eared flaps cut down.
    Air intake turbines , throtlle body spacers , magnets now this . After seeing 20 or more yrs. of supposedly new concepts discovered you come to realize the only constant is snake oil sales to syphon your dollars. A simple formula 1) wait a while from the last one .... like science is at work discovering 2) tell them what they want to hear 3) show the best results even if its an anomoly. They know we are interested and willing to just stick our neck out for a certain price point. I dont see it significantly boosting intake volume , 3000rpm and less is missing from the chart and has a hook in a set of lines..... like they only just seperated there. They seem to work on a principal that we cant/wont prove them wrong , im not going to do a shop setup test n such on my dime.

    My old Dakota had a throttle body spacer that didnt work, now this!..and yes ,if I'm wrong, you will find me getting one if they made a 2.7 version.

    Pretty standard for a rear wheel dyno to not start until 3-3.5K rpm's.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Doesnt look all that impressive to me. Sure as hell not worth 300 bucks. I agree that I would like to see a few more runs. Im wondering if they took the "worst" run stock, and the "best" run with the mod to compare them. Many manufactures do this to try and make their product seem like it is worht it.
