So I just got some new pro comp raven 16s during the 4wheelparts memorial day sale, and dropped my truck off 9am this morning to get the wheels and some BFG KO2 245/75/16 installed... Get a call around 430pm and the guy tells me the wheels are mis-marked and they are actually 17s. I am pretty shocked, but have had good experiences at the place in the past, so I am believing what they tell me.

I also noticed that they only tried to mount a tire onto one of the wheels. Anyway, I get home and I am beginning to become skeptical, as the wheels are stamped on the inside as 16x8.

I pull out the measuring tape and sure enough... 16. I then hold the wheel up to the stock 16s, same size. I then grab an old 16 inch wheel from the basement to compare... same size.

I am planning on calling them in the morning to say I measured myself and they are 16s... Should I even go back there to try to mount my tires and wheels again? I am itching to get these bad boys on the truck.

Sounds like the tire tech is a moron. I put myself through college working at a Tire Kingdom/NTB. About half the time the tire guy is great, other half they’re functionally retarded.
