As this one may be if discussions aren't kept clean and civil. Not saying they haven't been. So with all this discussion is the Fukashima thing truly an on going disasster or is this topic solely dependant on which source you rely on?

I will say, at the least, this is one of the most interesting discussions I've seen here in a while. I assume it's as most things are it is whatever you take away from it

Fukushima was bad, but it's not gonna give people in the US cancer.

A quick google says that the worldwide avg dose from Fukushima was about the same as an X-ray.

Also look at the people stationed on the ISS. They don't have the same magnetic shielding as we do on the ground, so they get bombarded with cosmic rays and radiation from solar flares/etc.

They aren't growing multiple limbs either. But it does put them at a higher risk for getting cancer.

Because 2nd gen driver. Its their big thing, calling for threads they don't like to be locked. They need their safe space. They love going into 3rd gen threads where the owners of said 3rd gens actually like their trucks and call for the lock. No reason other than snowflakes.
He was trying real hard not to go full retard, but he failed.

Cancer doesn't really become a danger until above 50 msv.

Per 1000 mSv, expect your risk to increase 6%.

Fukushima radiation dose average is roughly 0.5 mSv.

An X-ray can dose you more than that, I'd say the effect is totally negligible.

If y'all really wanna get freaked out by radiation, google the story of Hisashi Ouchi.

What happened to him is the stuff nightmares are made of.

    Again, source?
Where did that number come from? And how do you know that is what the Fukushima dose is going to REMAIN at that number?
There are a lot of problems with the fukushima disaster, and it isn't being solved, it is getting more critical, and it is being swept under the rug.

A quick google turns up multiple articles giving that number. We don't have much to worry about being on the other side of the world.

I don't think they're handling it as best as they could, but they're handling it. Japan has the most experience of any nation on the effects of radiation, they're not gonna ignore the disaster on their own coastline.
