As long as it's coded properly, probably as many as you can afford.

IIRC 5 master and 2 or 3 sub (valet) keys can be registered with the Immobilizer.

Your talking about the Engine Immobilizer (physical key) not the keyless entry (fob buttons) correct?

    How are you resetting it?

The only way I know of is essentially known as "all keys lost" or "erase all keys" on a scan tool with immobilizer function or techstream, this puts the Immobilizer ECU in learn mode. In this mode you register 2 keys then you have to back out and go to program additional key.

Are you sure the key your trying to add is correct and has a good transponder?

    2013 should use a G stamped key.

You need to start with a registered key in the ignition when programming an additional key then take that key out and put the unregistered key in when it asks.

I'm not sure then, do the 2 registered keys start the truck?

tried that both registered keys start the truck. just now i went out to it and tried to register another key i get to insert the key you want to register within 10 seconds i insert the key it then does a countdown 114 seconds the screen blinks twice and key cannot be registered would you like to try another key.

And on sunday i did the complete immobilizer reset which took 15 minutes to completely erase all transponder keys registered.

I mean it sounds like the key is bad/incorrect.

Can you look in the Immobilizer data and see how many keys are registered and see what the other data parameters are showing for both the registered and unregistered keys? Screenshot it and post it here.
