What kind of prep does a G19X need in order to be stippled? You can detail strip the frame in 5 minutes with a punch......

 

depends on the intended usage. For the G19X, not likely to be concealed carry? Then I'd get the Granulate. It's very "grippy". I have it on my G43X carry gun, and I probably should have gone with Pro or Rubber instead since it is so grippy. Grabs certain fabrics, and it's shaved my Crossbreed holster a bit. But I like the grippyness.... (that's a word now...) I have a package of the Rubber to swap out onto the G43X, just haven't done it yet, because grippyness....

For the Sig, which sounds more like a carry gun, I'd opt for the Pro or the Rubber option.

 

The G19X needs removal of the minor stippling it does have. Also, I believe they would add a trigger guard under cut. Seemed pretty straight forward on some YouTubz videos, but what do I know?

From what I understand not just stripped, but sanded down with a dremel basically. I had grip tape on my 17 but after like 10 years it finally wore off. Thinking of turning the 17 into a gucci glock with stippling and using the pro talon grips on my carry.

this. the best FFLs are just random dudes that do it out of their homes and charge $25 for any firearm. most of them do it just because they are gun nuts and got sick of paying $50-$60 at gun shops.

for the past year, firearms have been scarce, and are selling at MSRP or higher in most cases. “Street prices” from a year ago are irrelevant. You have two choices: find the best deal you can now, or wait a long time for supply to exceed demand long enough to bring downward pressure on prices.

Talk of removing the filibuster in the Senate is fueling demand, as that is the only roadblock right now to expanded gun control, including magazine and “assault weapons” bans. Sadly I don’t the firearm or ammo situation improving for another 18 months, maybe 2 years....

 

The ammo problem is also exasperated by covid, which affects materials and production. Mass primer shortage right now.
