That's my fault for not clarifying. I purchased a DD completed 300 pistol, so it has the Manu locale, model and serial #. And, I just now noticed it has "Cal: Multi" engraved as well.

ATF received paperwork and processed the Tax Stamp fee for a suppressor early April.

Temporary reconfigurations are allowed, which are easily done with an AR platform SBR. You should retain the parts to put it back into the "registered" configuration. If a permanent change is made (caliber, barrel length, overall length), then the ATF should be notified in writing of the change (this is NOT another application and tax stamp thankfully.)

Per Rainier Arms Website if you don't want to take my word for it...
Whether a Form 1 or Form 4 SBR is irrelevant. One of my SBRs is registered as an 11.5" 458 SOCOM, but currently has a 10.5" 556 upper on it. The SOCOM upper is feeling neglected however.....:(

I really, REALLY wish AR manufacturers would just stop putting the caliber on the lower at all, as "Multi" is stupid and unnecessary. The barrel will be marked with the caliber, and that is all that is really required.

I'm assuming that the "Cal Multi" is for shooter and LEO awareness? The manufacturer understands the AR is such a modular system, that they know folks will more than likely use the lower receiver for multiple calibers?

Thanks for the feedback y'all. Much appreciated.

I don’t know why they put “Cal: Multi” on there other than to annoy people who know better. Regardless of how many different calibers someone might use on an AR, having it on the receiver is not a requirement. The vast majority of frames/receivers (the part the government considers the “firearm”) have no caliber designations at all.

    Just a pet peeve.....

Multi is a marketing and somewhat of an ancient newbie thing. It weren't that many years ago people would ask.......can I use this lower for 6.8SPC?, etc.....

True, I just wish manufacturers had gone the other way with it, and just leave the caliber designation off entirely. Hell, they don't even need a model designator on the lower! Look at nearly any pistol frame and it will only have manufacturer, place and a serial number. No model or caliber listed at all. The model and caliber are on the slide and barrel.

But it isn't changing any time soon, the "old man yelling at clouds" effort notwithstanding.....

The CHL Recip. one is interesting. It appears that it ONLY amends issues with non-resident CHLs, not residents. I'd like to see Oregon gain recip. with Washington so I don't have to lock my shit up when I cross over the Glenn Jackson

Heh. That's why I have both passes. Which is kinda silly, but whatevs.

Nationwide CCW reciprocity would be nice, though.

It used to be easy for an Oregon resident to get a WA license. Not sure if it is anymore with all the changes.

As a WA resident, do I need to contact the Sheriff's dept for the counties (OR) I'll plan on carrying in and apply there?

No, you can use just about any county. Probably easier to use the county you are in most often to keep the extra travel down. I got mine from Multnomah County since it was the most convenient to where I was spending most of my time. Each county is feee to see their own requirements though, like Clatsop appears to limit WA applicants to 3 nearby counties only. So check their websites and see what it says.
