looks like 9mm prices are going up and less selection. I'm looking at 124gr 9mm 1000rds which I normally order for the range. My last 9mm order was $186 shipped. $300 + shipping now.

sgammo.com isn't even accepting orders now due to high demand.

That’s why you need to pick up that Scorpion or AR9. Join the 9mm sub gun game and save some $$. :D

oh this I know. having the other calibers helps though so when one becomes impossible to get, there are other options.

Target Sports is showing a message that says expect a 10 day delay on shipments. Well, it was 10 days earlier this week, now it says 12-15 day shipping delay.
:crapstorm: is not coming, it is already here.

NW Armory still has plenty of 9mm I found today. Not terribly priced, but they are starting to set limits....

Had to take a pic of my collection yesterday while it was all out to move the safe. Well most of it anyway, there are a few I didn't feel like rounding up for the photo op.

what am I chopped liver?

I know a guy that joined the first time buyer gun rush today. Probably overspent for 9mm at a local shop. He also asked if he could borrow a rifle.

If you don’t have any, but need it RFN, then there is no such thing as “overspent”.....

ya that's true. and all these first time buyers are probably good for the cause.

edit: but in this case it is a "I told you so". I told him to buy around six months ago.

And that is where you tell him "Sorry due to I-594 (and to some extent 1639) being passed I can't lend you a firearm without a transfer and background check" so people really get to see the effects of laws that have been passed blindly.

Ive gotten to educate a few people who voted for things without reading them and are now just realizing what was actually passed

I’m more disgusted by the first time gun buyers who say “actually, I’m ok with all this paperwork, requirements and the waiting period.”
    :annoyed:

So far that has been the majority.

It’s the people who were used to the previous process buying gun number 2 or more that realize how bad the new rules are.

You deal with a lot more people :) The few Ive talked it have more been surprised and didnt realize the wait thing was dependent on LEO. They thought it was just a background check and a 10 day "cool down period" and then you got it

I'm not using this word in a derogatory manner, but it has confirmed for me that the majority of people and politicians are ignorant. They craft laws or initiatives without the required knowledge, or vote on things without fully reading and comprehending what it means. Or they think they know what it means, or "it doesn't apply to/affect me, so why not?". This isn't only applicable to firearms, but just about any subject.

Maybe now some of them are getting a little bit of knowledge on what it really takes to buy a firearm. The hope is that this knowledge becomes hard-coded, and they retain the lesson moving forward.
