    I'll have to eat my own words. PSA is actually pretty decent. They have some pretty sweet deals. But Aero Precision is my personal favorite when it comes to affordable receivers.

    It all depends on what matters most to you. If I were going to build another budget gun I'd grab one of those $50 lowers and then a lower parts kit with a polished/enhanced fire control group.

    well I currently don’t own an AR but have shot many...

    I’m looking for versatility as far as innerchanging parts if I don’t like what I originally purchased...
    I’m looking for versatility and shooting both 556 and 223....
    I’m looking for something more for shooting then actually defense even though an AR 15 will land in the defense category...
    Kinda like you said budget build for my first one

    you can [should be able to with any decent quality gun] change any/all parts at any time you choose.
    556 barrel fires both. 223 barrel doesnt.
    dont buy a plastic lower receiver

    EDIT: build your own!
