agreed. I have 4x tube doors that I modified along with Armor Tech Offorad (now 4xI's company after buying them or something like that...ATO and 4xI are now the same company). Their LCA skids have been tested on my truck and no issues. their skids also fit with the pelfry IFS. Its notable that the ATO lca skid has the large diameter circle that covers the can tab on the LCA that deasl with alignment, no matte what brand you decide, its best to have that tab covering the can tab so a rock/log cant hit that bolt and immediately throw alignment off. the pelfry has a side leading side that also helps cover that tab to a degree, so thats why I decided the way I did with my pelfry IFS/ATO LCA skid combo. just make sure you do your homework and get as much info as possible before making the decision.

Yeah I don't screw around with silicone, if it pops while you are doing your thing she is going to make you pay for a new one.

I found out the hard way that one should purchase a front bumper AND the skids at the same time and typically from the same vendor. Otherwise ya got issues joining $hit up and gaps.

I don't know enough about a 2nd gen, but the 5100/eibach for 1st gen is disposable shitbird suspension setup. (can ya tell I am not happy about it?)

Do your homework on suspension and two montras to mod by:
    1. Cheapest is not always best.
    2. Buy once, cry once.

that sucks! likewise, I dont know ANYTHING about 1st gens haha. I think most people for 2nd gens would attest the 5100's is solid for a intro offroad package. I wonder what would make them different for a 1st gen?

and cheapest is def not always best

So I got word from my insurance company about my truck. As expected, it is totaled, and adjust or thinks the rear axle got bent. He also told me that the OME/Dakar suspension would lower the value of the truck, so he isn't taking that into account. I can however take the armor off without a problem, and walk away.
It is now looking like I would like to have some stock suspension so I can pull this stuff off. Anybody want to come to Spokane this weekend? Sale will come soon for ATO IFS skid, and BAMF LCA skids.

Automatic. All day, every day. 75% of the 9 yrs I've been going home is Surfing. The rest is eating and spending time with Ohana/friends. Even if it's just a 1hr session.

Argghhhh.....I just checked out your build, lift seems really reasonable at 2.5"

Is this related to the needle bearing being weak or something else?
