Im not too worried about it. Have to expect some trail damage. Especially on that trail. Just going to have to get some sliders before the next trip.

So, I want to gauge some interest - anyone wanting to try out the Liberty area? There are some great trail write-ups on nwjeepn.com. I'm wanting to try out some of the more/most difficult ones, possibly on August 11th. Trail run choice would depend on the number of interested vehicles. I've ran part of Guard Station before and it was awesome.

    http://www.nwjeepn.com/Guardstation.htm

I want to give this one in particular a try:

I have a cabin up there on the ellensburg side. I can drive my truck over the mountain to lions rock and down to liberty if I want to bad enough. I do it on my snowmobile in the winter all the time. If you go back there you for sure have to go up to lions rock.

Damn - those are some interesting trails. I supposed I'm probably game as well. Maybe I'll finish putting on the rest of my armor before then. On the road the DCLB rules. On the trail, it can feel a bit long at times.

I had a scratch on the hood from where I grazed a tree stump. Handled that with some touch-up paint for the most part. It will be there to remind me not to look at my GPS during the trail. Had an awesome time too :D

So I like the idea of starting in the Greenwater/Naches area and traveling off-road to Snoqualmie/Hyak or Snoqualmie/Bandera area via Stampede Pass. I'm thinking maybe an overnighter at the end of August? I plan to go do some scouting this weekend to get some GPS tracks and gauge how long the trip may take.

I also like the idea of starting in Cle Elum and crossing to Greenwater/Naches over Manastash Ridge. Either one gives us a chance to do some expedition and play in Naches. Thoughts?

:notsure: Might have been when I came out of the little 50 foot long side loop towards the end of the evening. You and Alan didn't follow me through because by the time I went in, we realized it wasn't going anywhere. There was a bit of a dropoff coming out of that part where I nailed the front skid. Otherwise not sure...

This may go together well with the gitout crew... they're planning to head over the wagon trail in mid/late august I believe too

I'm having good feelings about August 12th for Liberty :drunk:

Damn Benson!! I think you and I need to start a support group for DCLB owners who like to wheel their trucks.

BTW - did you have to do a bunch of cleaning in your engine bay after mudding in Tahuya? That in itself took me a few hours.

Right now, I don't feel so crazy for buying a full set of ATO skid plates. I'm going to get those bastards installed right away.

Do we know anybody who can help get 3M paint protection film to cover our entire truck?

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
    ....I hate you Sean :pout:

Yeah, the DC/LB is long, but still capable. Throw some skids and lockers on there and you'll be unstoppable.

After Tahuya it wasn't too dirty in the engine bay, and going through Mud Lake only got a few drops in my aFe intake box, but no biggie. I have to be more conscious of deep stuff now that I have the winch/solenoid up front.

TSF and Naches were REALLY fuckin' dusty, which is almost worse than sand to clean up. Finally got the interior cleaned, and hand-washed/dried the outside today. Gonna polish and wax tomorrow, so expect my full review on the Meguiar's lineup (Gold-Class wash, Scratch-X2, and NXT Tech Wax):D

Haven't looked into the 3M protectant, but the magnets I was looking at were $150 for 2'x50' roll of flexible, plain black, high-strength, 60-mil vehicle grade. I might measure my truck and make some templates. We'll see.
