I live in unincorporated king, but the map says I'm part of the ST area. If that's the case then I want police and fire protection, just like the rest. I want them to maintain the roads in my community, instead of paying for them in my hoa dues.
They spent $3.2 Billion on the rail link to SeaTac, which averages less than 300 riders per day.
    Fuck.

I call serious bullshit on 300 riders per day. Maybe to SeaTac, but the next station up, less than a mile away, I'll bet it's 10 times that at least. That park and ride is busy as fuck. people park in neighborhoods a mile away. And the sounders are at 90% capacity basically all the time.

Talking from Seattle transit center to SeaTac. Sounded better for my point. Thanks for ripping the wings off of the angel of my argument!

I'd like to see how many fares they collect a day. That might be a fair number.

See what I did there? Ya fairey.

You're right, I figure if the dedicated rigs aren't having trouble with leaks, I'll be ok. I'll make it work.

After looking all over the west side of the state, I actually found a drive line shop here in town. Not sure what other people are charging for labor on Air lockers but he said he'd put it in for $500. It's an old timer who's run the shop for like 25 years and has solid reviews. I trust him and that's the sort of dude I want putting it in so it's worth it to me. Have you installed one before, are you running the locker? You have a shop at home? Press and equipment?

Pull the fill plug with drain pan underneath and let it dribble out. When pumping oil into front diff, it can be hard to see when full, even if a truck is resting on 37s.

My MDS system barely keeps it in 4 banger mode. I pretty much have to be going down a hill at slightly more than an idle to be running weak mode. Foot slips a little and it's blowing all 8 again.

Sucks to be you Ellensburg people. Gotta go farther east to get away from all that crap, possibly to Idaho.

$500 seems more than fair to me. Especially if its not a complete third member but needs to be setup too. I know a bunch of guys have gotten their lockers installed at Mule so hopefully one can toss ya a number from that for you to compare. Even if its a third member install....its a bit more than id want to pay since its an easy swap but for a shop its still pretty fair IMO. If Im remembering right setting backlash on ARB's is pretty easy too

I have not installed an ARB locker since I have the e-locker in the rear. But have done diff work. Actually just did the bearing on my brothers suburban last weekend. Thought that it was the carrier bearings but turns out it was probably the pinon bearings make noise on his rig. (I was only told carrier bearings were bad) but at ~220k everything was ready for fixing. But yes I have everything. Not a shop just a garage. And not all the specialized tools I wish i could have but cant justify having (like a diff casing fixture)

Honestly though even at 500 if its more than a third member swap, Id probably just take it to the shop and have the old timer do it. Its not hard, just time consuming.

That and I would definitely have to clean the garage and make room lol. Some how I have managed to fit the FJ40 frame on one side, the body on a stand on the other side, and have room for the table saw for making a stand for a drill press.

Interesting. ARB would still be cheaper and youd get the benefit of having a compressor (for tires) though.

I know nothing about that locker. Other than its an e-locker and that right there i dislike but only cause I hate electrical :)

Everyone says that but after $1000 ARB and a $250+ compressor and an optional tank, how much more expensive is this Harrop REALLY?

I'm wondering at what point I should just trade in for a 4x4. Hate the idea of losing out on my truck, it's just two years old.

Negative. I think the OEM locker rear end is the only one without an 8.4".

I don't think I can say this without being a douche, so please just forgive me now. Prerunners belong in the desert. Unless you're gonna move to the Southwest, get a 4x4.

You can totally do tahuya though.

They make sense there. Here, less velocity and more slime/mud/snow/stuff.

Long travel makes more sense there too. Here it's mostly just a way to get more clearance for bigger tires.
