What I meant is that they probably have a filter that tags G3, gen 3 etc. it was a shot in the dark. (See what I did there?)

No runs that I know of.
Lemme know when ur coming, we'll get together for a beer. @JimSnell too if he's not at sea.

Not really. There's mainly the Forest service roads off of I-90 but are somewhat snowed in at the moment. Once the snow melts there's a few options around Snoqualmie pass.

In case anyone is interested, the Powerstop brakes are awesome, once they are burned in. Nearly did a nose wheelie today!
    @Honeybadger , you were right.
    Again.

How long will they last? I was looking at doing the v8 4runner/gx470 brakes. It's like $650 worth of parts though.

Yesterday my buddy Logan and one of his Navy friends helped me (they did 99% of the work) get the rear axle locked in the GX. While Logan was modifying my housing (notching the driver's side, and tapping the 4 holes for the new studs) his friend who just happened to be an aircraft electrician used three different wiring schematics (07 FJ for the locker and switch, 00 4Runner for the ECU, and a hand drawn one for some sort of older 4Runner) to get a harness made.

The only thing that he couldn't get working was I wanted the switch itself to function as the indicator light. Flashing while engaging, solid when engaged.

So, today I spent a few hours running the wires how I wanted them, trimming to size, tapping into the power sources I wanted, and figuring out that damn switch lighting.

    It works!

I placed the locker ECU behind the rear cargo panel just a couple feet from the motor and it is way faster engaging/disengaging than my 4Runner was.

    Yeah, it was miserable.

If my GX didn't have KDSS we could have just swapped the axle in and saved a stupid amount of time. Took ~12 hours start to finish.

Pizza, beer, and good tools made it bearable lol

I think I will try those out before I go buy all the big brake parts.

I hunt Idaho as well. Where abouts are you going?

I've been doing white tail so far but might have an elk opportunity on 200 acres private land. Also getting a new rifle for this year. I'm thinking about the Thompson Center Compass in 30-06. Won't break the bank and reviews are good. I'll just move my scope over from my Remington 700 SPS Tactical and then put my sniper scope back on the 700(I bought that rifle before I started hunting).

I'll be hunting the Dworshak B unit for elk deer and bear. I do a lot of hiking way deep, so I got a kimber mountain ascent in 6.5 creedmoor last night. Lightest big game hunting rifle on the market. Heading optic shopping now. I really like that Burris xtr 2 4-20x50. Front focal plane.

Was thinking about a Savage and also Tikka T3. Don't need anything overly expensive just something rugged and shoots straight. Was also thinking about 7mm and 300 win mag but I'm not really into elk that much yet. I figure down the road I can get a separate rifle for elk. In the thick timber of North Idaho a guy could use a 30-30. No long shots available lol
