Iirc an angled foregrip is OK, just not the vertical. It's been a minute since I've had to dive into ATF interpretation, and it changes every year.

Interesting, I hadn't heard that before, I only know that they specify that with a vertical foregrip that it is no longer intended to be fired with one hand therefore making it no longer fall under the definition of a pistol and therefore an AOW.

On that topic... Are you really allowed a 10 rd mag for big game in WA? In Oregon I believe it's 5.

Edit** HOly shit there is no limit?

No mag limit for hunting in WA except for migratory bird. 2 years ago I hunted elk with my 308 AR and 20rd mags. I didn't load 20 (weight), but I could have. Last year I used my 458SOCOM SBR, so 30rd 556 mags are only 10 round mags with that fat pill in there....

Didn't even see an elk either time, so I really liked the lighter SBR for trekking about....

I swear the WDFW hates hunters. Eastern WA modern firearm elk season is the first week in Nov, WTF? Most days we didn't need much more than a light coat, and there was zero snow on the ground to drive the herds down. The only thing I "caught" was some EA-18G Growlers buzzing the canyons.....

For ground animals how does a magazine limit really make sense to begin with? For birds it makes sense so you cant just take a semi-auto shotty to a flock. Not that one should need 10 rounds or anything for an elk but at the same time is having 5 rounds really any different than the guy with 10-30? Most of the time I bet you'd be dang lucky to get off more than 2 rounds on the same animal anyways. The couple guys I know who have hunted with 308 AR's still only load 5 rounds and neither of them have fired more than twice so having 10+ rounds makes no difference to them.

I had them buzz me several times in the Alpine during the high hunt one year. Scared the crap out of me on the first one. I swear he waved at me.

Guys guys guys guys. Opinions on adding a winch. Considering USoffroads hidden winch mount. Should I mount it up front with a hidden winch system, or install a hidden receiver up front so I can install it in the front or rear if it's needed.
That would suck to need to get pulled from behind with the winch stuck up front. I know snatch blocks can be used but man that's just more work. And also, if it wasn't permenantly mounted, I'd have to store it either in the bed or at home when not in use, and with my luck it would be sitting in my garage as I'm sideways in a ditch.

No shit! I hunt in the Nile area, and I'm the type to get pretty deep in there and spend the whole day hiking around. I saw ONE FUCKING ELK in five days, and of course it was a cow.
