Went out on a section of the WABDR this last weekend and it was awesome! Not very technical but some very great views. IMG_0155.jpgIMG_0166.jpg
Also, after dragging my ass end on some deeper cutouts, my lovely wife agreed we need to order bumpers so in 14-16 weeks I'll have some new Relentless bumpers!

Decided, spur-of-the-moment, to go check out around Tinkham.

Wasn't sure what to expect (other than NF roads). A few people camping, but not too many. The gate was closed right after the shooting pit, so I had to turn around. Pretty tame road, as well. Be interested to see further up the mountain once the gate opens.

Since that exploration was shorter than expected, I hopped back on 90 and went West to Garcia. NF-110 and NF-9021 were a lot more interesting, both in driving and scenery. Several parts were not car-accessible. As least, not with a car you like, or want to drive afterwards. 9021 just got too tight in the brush, so I had to turn around. Given the recent clippings, it looked like people were trying to beat back the brush to make it more accessible. Other than that, everywhere else I had to turn around was either due to locked gates or permanent rock/eco block piles, ending the road much sooner than the maps portrayed.

Found an old piece of logging machinery tucked in the woods as well. Couldn't find any identifying marks. Hard to tell scale with the pics, but it was a big chunk of iron; roughly 7' tall, 15' long and 7' wide. Be fun to hear the history behind it.

I've attached some pics as well a couple route maps. Not the most glamorous adventure, but for zero planning, wandering around in the woods is always a win in my book.

Took the wife up out of liberty and then up to lions rock and then a trail on table mountain tonight. When we got into a tight squeeze and the tree decided it no longer wanted to stand up and fell over. Thankfully it when to the right and not to the left and got away with minor body damage IMG_1598.jpg

Its done fine the little bit I've used it. Only picked it up since its supposedly all made in the USA and the company is based in Ferndale, WA otherwise I'd still be using the Smittybilt for everything

I've got a generic Napa brand, it's rated for 20k# but only cost about $45-$55. I've yet to use it with rope. It is virgin otherwise.

Checked out the roads up near Baker Lake, south of Baker. Most everything was pretty boring, typical NF roads. Climbed pretty high was some good views, and came across this one road I got excited about because the wash out and ruts, but there was a closed gate like 50 feet after that. Lame. Check out that stock flex tho!

I do like buying US made but probably go ARB. Price and 5k load difference for around $100.
