NW WA Meet / BS Thread

It's definitely no joke out there. I got to come back early from work trip because we were all afraid of what could happen with me welding shit on 200' in the air. The suiattle fire is about 12 miles from where I was working.

 

I camped up on mission ridge friday night... I guess there was a fire on blewett that day? Hazy AF.

 

There is so much smoke in th sky I think it would be hard to determine the source. Shits crazy out there.

 

A week or two ago, there were 3 fires relatively close to me. I think I heard that 2 of them were deemed as arson. I told my wife that if I catch somebody being an arsonist, police can have whatever is left when I am done with the person.

 

Went to Portland Saturday to get skids, had a rescue mission for a buddy that night as well. Managed to get the trans filter changed, beat the pan back out flushed and filled. Flushed the power steerin system, and cleaned out, and mount the 3 piece skids today.




Next weekends goal is to build amd mount the sliders change out the suspension and make the new shock tower in the rear. Then I should be all set for camping and wheeling on labor day weekend.

 

I've had really good luck with Discount Tire in the Renton Highlands. The guy that manages the Discount at Northgate is also a Toyota guy. He's on the 4Runners of WA facebook page.

Had some hillbillies yelling at us from 100 yards away or so that there were NO FIRES ALLOWED because we had our little propane fire pit going.

The next night, as the ranger pulled up, (we had the fire going again) the same hillbillies yelled, "HA HA" as if we were going to get in trouble. We waved at the ranger, he waved at us, and off he went. I am sure they were disappointed.

Eventful weekend at Lake Cle Elum. I don't think I need to ever camp there again. Sucks because I think it is/was one of my favorite spots. Definitely my favorite spot as close as it is.

 

Hillbillies ruin everything.

 

Highlight of the weekend was this morning.

As I woke up they were talking and I heard this dialogue:

Male:
You know that silver SUV over there? We thought it was a 4Runner, but it's a fucking Lexus.

Female: I don't care what the fuck it is, it's a Japanese vehicle. If you're Japanese, you drive a Japanese vehicle. If you're white, you don't.

Of course their crew had two beat to shit Cherokees.

 

With a "built not bought" sticker I'm sure. Marlboro lights and mgd.

 

I tried to go to bed, but the 8 month old said fuck you dad. I'm tired. Please kid, go the fuck to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

 

As her mate pulled up Friday night she yelled at him to "KICK THE DUST UP!!" as he drove by our camp.

Just all around great folks.

Oh, and as we pulled up Friday she was fully nude down in the lake scrubbing herself down. Big girl.

 

You should have tried to make peace with cheetos and bud light. Maybe tell them you voted for Trump or something.
