I'm headed to Idaho to setup game camera's. Anyone want to hunt whitetail over there this year? I know it's expensive for non-resident tag but I've never struck out. Bowlers never strike out.

Heading to Twin Lakes near Baker Saturday morning to hike, and camp one night. I know they have a few walk in tent sites, but has anyone ever seen anyone camping in the gravel lot? Was just going to set up my RTT in a corner of the lot.

I'm up there quite a bit. Was camping there last weekend. Plenty of tent spots at Lake 2. They won't even notice you're in the lot. I slept in the bed of my truck.

I'd recommend trying for Friday night to ensure a good spot. Also, Winchester > Highpass

I know about the tent spots, but they are walk in only right? I have my RTT on my truck. I was just seeing if people every camp in the parking lot. I don't really foresee it being an issue, but just curious if anyone has ever seen or done it.

That's a nice looking area! Is there anything like that further south (I-90 or HWY 410 area)?

I'm curious how many local guys have re-buildable suspensions that would be interested in a local option to have it done?

After spending $90 to have the springs taken off and put back on and another $60 to have my struts charged I'm thinking it may be worth investing in a spring compressor and nitrogen setup to start offering some rebuilding services to pay for the equipment. Besides those costs it was only about $75 for rebuild kits and aircraft quality oil. After bumbling a tiny but through my first strut and realizing how stupid easy it is I only took about an hour to do the second one and I spent more time polishing the surface rust off the piston rod and tarnishing off the body than anything else.

I am interested, however I haven't ever had hunters ed, don't have hardly any gear to go out in, but I have boots that will work great and a .308 Thompson. I could even have a spot to stop for the night on your way over with a real bed if you want it.

If they are east siders, what does that make me, an east coaster?

That's the only reason I hesitate is because even though I'm bent out of shape that it cost me a bunch to do something so simple, now that mine are done it's going to be a few years before they need it again.

Do it man. Make a post in the regional forum saying you can rebuild. Easy peasy.
