Don't think many gassers are going to be able to do 70 up the pass... but I haven't towed with a new gasser so not sure.

I was going to say, a stand alone diesel swap isnt that hard to do :). Alas if they are out of the question could always get a 2wd chevy suburban with a 454 and tow gear ratio. Although 8mpg is prob out as well.

Going to post up my RTT soon but giving you guys first shot. I believe 4 years old, i've slept in it about 15 nights and its always been kept inside during the winter and most of summers (stayed on truck which was mostly in the garage but not every night). Like new condition with minimal use.

Tepui Autana in haze orange with annex thats never been used except to see how I liked it. No rips/tears, just light fading on the travel cover.
Last time I used it was on the Rubicon trail over a year ago.
New they are $2600, Ill do $1500 on TW, it'll be going on CL later for more if it doesn't sell on here.

Tell her to go sniff a newer diesel tailpipe. Stinky diesels are a thing of the past. They burn so clean at idle we have no issue with 6 of them idling in the shop with the doors closed.

Diesels offer better HP,TQ and MPG’s but they do have a significantly higher dollar per mile cost. They will last longer but when something fails its $$$. If you have questions about Cummins/ford/international/CAT diesels let me know. I work on them every day

My dad has a newer "light" travel trailer (I think it's 28') and borrowed my uncle's '17 Silverado with the 6.2 in it for a test pull. Turned around about half way up Mt. Hood and went and bought a Ram 2500 HD with a Cummins.

It's a very, very nice truck. He has had a few Powerstrokes in the past and called me on his drive home from the dealership to tell me that he "had no idea what he was missing." I think his last one was a 2010. It was a Harley Edition with all sorts of power add-ons and 37" tires... He wanted something stock with a great warranty. Drove out to Idaho and purchased it from Dennis Dillon. Nothing but good things to say about the experience, and has some sort of lifetime warranty.

Which is kind funny cause all that added shit and EPA crap has a lot of the commercial truck companies going back to gas. Cheaper gas, cheaper parts, and less BS to work around regulation wise. At least International has new gas trucks that are only getting 1-3mpg less than the diesel version and are very similar HP and TQ wise. Course the drive train between the gas and diesel costs basically the same whereas its usually the gas is quite a bit cheaper.

Be interesting to see what happens when its trickles down to the non commercial market

Anyone around the Seattle area have Falken MTs by chance? Or 35's in general I could check out and talk to about? Looking to head that direction but wanted to see it all in person first if possible.

International was forced to almost get out of the light duty market. Shitty EGR systems, they refused to use urea in the beginning and it screwed them in the long run. They lost a ton of business directly because of the maxxforce engines. Companies like Cummins jumped aboard the SCR train early and it paid off they have their systems pretty much bomb proof. CAT said fuck it when it comes to OTR applications (i dont count the CAT line of trucks because that was a international/CAT collaboration) they chose the focus on equipment instead. There are rumors that cat may be coming out with a OTR engine however

I wont say never but the gassers won’t be making a HD debut anytime soon. They aren’t built to withstand constant heavy loads and demands of large trucks

Well, since you seem set on a SUV, that means gas only... which sucks lol. Since you're throwing out Denali trim packages and Lexus... I vote Lexus LX570 :D

Just go for it. That's probably my next tire in the same size. Cut, smash, install, smile, till it's time for gas. Again.

That's my only hesitation is having my range go to shit...200 miles a tank isn't very enticing but everything on the want side says go for it

It should climb back up some with appropriate gearing. That's my hope anyway.
