I won't be making the meet. I have a freaking IST for the Marines at 0900 in Tukwila :(
Those don't even matter & I'm shipping out next month, :annoyed:
I'll still update this list until Friday night, so you guys will have to post pics after Saturday of how it goes!
    :pout:

Damn damn damn! Wish I could. Haring a hash run Saturday morning. one of these days I'll make one of these runs.

BTW, drove over Snoqualmie/Blewett yesterday- very little snow. Came back over Stevens- plenty of snow near the summit (filled my bed and brought a load home) but diminishes pretty quickly as ya come down.

I camp at Curlew Lake state park every July. Explored a (very) little bit of NF-2156 & 2040 the last two years. definitely lots of wildlife to run across- bears, cougars, bobcats, wolves, coyotes, deer, elk, moose, sasquatch.....

would absolutely be up for more extensive exploration of the hills, with more people.

That sucks that you can't make it now! I pulled the trigger on some winter tires and am getting them mounted next week and would like to hit the mountains next week if you're free then?

I won't be out on Saturday. If I end up on Snoqualamie pass, it will be on my way to Spokane to look at a house or 2 over there. Also, Sigs are German. I was surprised to see how many gun companies are German.

As you probably saw in my consideration list, the SP2022 was there. If that is what I get, we will have to meet up and you can squeeze off a few clips.

For me right now, I am not looking to carry concealed. I did go by the county sheriff's office yesterday and filled out all the paperwork for a CPL. A handgun for me right now is primarily going to be my at home tool, not something I take everywhere.

This is one of the reasons I need to go out and rent all these guns at a range and get a feel for each of them to decide what fits me best.

Thanks for advice. I will definitely look into XDs. I made my list based on a top 20 list I found on the internet here.

depends on how low the snow level drops. maybe you will be able to find some slightly more technical hill climbs off of those forest service roads.

What did you go with? Yeah next weekend I should be free and gearing to hit the mountains

It was supposed to be exploring (snowy) FS roads

Tell me bout it- I should be free next weekend.

The spot that's highlighted on the map is an easy FS road, it was snowy when I was there so it proved to be a little bit of a challenge since nobody else had driven up that mountain and they got 4" of snow or so. If there's no snow then it might not be a little too tame :notsure:

It's up to you guys now

Yeah - was pretty clear on this one as well. No sliders either --- had originally wanted to chase some snow - get some landscape shots (photography) - maybe pose some trucks and just have some fun.....

You guys can still go to that NF 4934 Road & explore that w/out me ... or find some roads that lead to the highest elevations-- I'm sure those will produce some very good photo opportunities
