Side note: I needed to *ahem* drive over a median at some speed this morning and was pleasantly surprised how well the BP-51s took a curb at 10mph. I was kind of meh on the upgrade but now I'm very excited about it.

 

Has anyone ever had the e-brake lock up? At least I think that's what just happened....

 

yes, at the top of Gallagher. I was like WTF? my truck is disabled. I engaged/disengaged the brake several times then it was good. I heard you can bang on the drum?

Wouldn't this be a bad idea since the bed and canopy flex side to side? I know my canopy and bed move side to side a fair amount when off-roading.

 

Was it cold? Happen to me once when it was freezing.
Water gets in the drums, freezes and then the parking brake won't come off.

Banging the drum, heating it up or flooring it all help get it loose

 

A guy i work with had the same thing happen to his truck. Took it to the dealer for a $1000 repair lol

Had that issue too, hitting the drum broke it loose

 

My E brake stuck on the driver side at the boat ramp over the weekend, put the truck in 4 low and it was still dragging that tire. locked the rear end and it free'd right up...

 

I didn't say it was a good idea, that is where he wants the ladder.

Yep, was cutting through the landing and downtown renton to avoid the 405 mess this morning.

Hows your commute? I was looking at a few houses in lake tapps area but was weary of the commute to Renton.
