If I install it on tailgate will it be a problem for my bumper that I will be getting it’s a swing out with tire mount.

I would make sure there is an antenna mount on the super awesome dual swing out CBI first gen rear bumper.
@turbodb might be a source of truth as he has the same bumper....

Of course you know at least several people here with the technology to take 5 minutes and add a spot to mount said antenna on said bumper if you so chose.

@Boomer04 - how far out does the tailgate mount stick? The CBI arms are several inches from the tailgate (unless you have the fold-down tables), but I can measure for you, to be sure.

I don’t think Jim has a spring. Mine with spring never hit windshield except when I forgot to remove in a parking garage

Well thing is that next Friday Mule expeditions is installing a cbi dual swing with tire mount it does have fold down table on right side and single gas can holder and when I get firestik2 antenna I wanted to make sure where I can mount it so I don’t have the brackets yet if that makes sense

Yup, we follow ya. Might not hurt to wait till after the bumper install so you can hold the antenna up in different places to kinda visualize it all.

Looks like you have an ARB front bumper. I installed my CB antenna to a hole drilled on the front bumper, driver side just behind the headlight hoop. Never had an issue with it there. The headlight hoop protects the lower part where it's susceptible to breaking. 284313_250514268301349_216426_ncrop.jpg

I plan on doing the same when I finally get around to a CB on the DCSB

There's several here with skillz, and more of them than me. And once you have the bumper installed, it really could be as simple as drilling a hole, once you find the right spot.

Going to Hancock tomorrow morning will give elk report but I think they have moved east. 2 weeks ago saw 0 elk and about 6-8 deer all does. Reports that there are some big bulls in the naches area past whiskey’s up high. My door guy said his bud bagged a 5x5 yesterday up there.

Well the antenna on my front bumper would be great but I think I probably would want it on rear bumper now that I know you can actually mount it on the bumper if it’s on the front or back I did not know that and as far as install the only shops I know is Mule and Torfab and they are 4-6 weeks out maybe more.
