Depending on what you're doing the handset speaker can get washed out in noise. But thats why there is an external speaker out jack.

    It's not that bad.
Get the front end on jack stand take
    take off tires and wheels
Pull off skid plate, both skid plate brackets and sway bar (from frame and knuckle)
Loosen the top 3 coilover nuts. Do not remove completely
take off lower shock mount nut from bolt
Remove cotter pin from upper control arm knuckle ball joint tthen loosen the nut. Not completely off but almost
Smack the knuckle with a hammer pretty hard to allow the ball joint to pull out of the knuckle and drop.
support the lower control arm and remove the ball joint nut so that knuckle can pull away from the upper control arm.
With blocks or a jack hold up the lower control arm. Be careful not to let the cv joint pull out to far or it will separate the joint inside the boot. (Not advised)
Remove remain coilover nuts and pull it all out.
Take those coil overs and new ones to an auto shop the have your springs swapped over and the reverse this process for installation.

it's not to hard just take your time. There can be many threads found on here way more informative than all that cap I just wrote down! Search and ye shall receive! ! Good luck!

Yea I called a shop like 3 blocks from my house, and he will do it for 40 plus tax. Gonna rip it all out in the morning. I was trying to do it myself. Had it all ripped out and the damn spring compressor won't even fit in between the coils. Just had a major panic attack lol. Well after I'm done and get tires installed on Friday, I am really interested in some meets. Any coming up?

It's really not too difficult to do if you have some basic mechanic skills (I did it and I'm certainly no mechanic) but for $40 I would totally pay a pro to do the job. Your truck will be way more badass when the lift is on too! Good luck

I am about to order some t-nuts for the bed rack from Grizzly. I am getting 3 packs (12 t-nuts) for $12 but shipping is $8. Thought I would offer up to see if anyone else in the area needs any.

    Kolt -

I just used Unitstrut nuts; they're already drilled and tapped to 3/8", and worked just fine for me. You should be able to source them at any electrical supplier locally..

Or source through an electrician you know...I do have this well loaded van with strut nuts. I have a few threaded for 1/4-20, and probably a few for 3/8-16.

    Loud as hell URD exhaust!

This seems a little more involved. I've always just removed the tie rod ends to change the coil-overs. This way you don't have to worry about the axles slipping out.

Well all installed. Looks like I need new upper control arms. Passenger spring touches :(. Is this common?

Yeah when you do a suspension lift it usually requires a UCA swap to clear the coils.

Is the sway bar touching the coils?

Plus if you rotate the coil a little bit you might get some clearance while you wait for uca's

I have 2" between my control arm and my springs. I didnt realize this was a problem. I wouldnt think the ball joint would last long if the arm was at enough angle to touch the spring. My springs had to be rotated just right to clear the sway bar.
