Pretty much a perfect place in terms of looks/light dispersion.. I'm sure there's another spot that's just as good

Although I like the center hoop, my vote would be for the roof rack as well. It is hard to hold off on a light I understand but it is an ideal location and doesn't make you start drilling in your bumper. I think it will be fairly easy to fab a couple of brackets and put it on your rack -- and look/work great!!

    IMHO

My only concern with the roof rack location is at night if you have the LED bar on, how much light is gonna be reflecting off the windshield/hood basically limiting eyesight since the dispersion of light is so great... not saying it's gonna be a dramatic limitation by any means but still just a thought that crosses my mind

Just be careful like SeattleCoug said, be sure to mount it far enough back from the top of the windshield. On my dads boat he has 2 Go-Lights mounted at the top of the windshield on either side, turn them on at night and all you see is glare.. Completely worthless.

Well - then you have a reason to get another cool thing to stick on your truck:

    http://crawlorado.com/ocart/index.php?route=product/category&path=62

If you see Expedition rigs with black hoods and LED lightbars on the roof rack - or any lights on the roof rack which is common - this is the reason why. You make a good point - and if you do like the high mount then after you get it mounted and adjusted you will know if glare is a problem. Glare off the windshield should not be a problem but the hood - depending on color and what not - might be.

Hmmm... Good to know. I think I actually already have some matte black vinyl left over from another project. I got the bar mounted on the roof. It was too dark to take pictures by the time I was done. I will get some in the morning. It may not be the most attractive thing but it serves its purpose.

Good call on the vinyl. That is on my list after Stallone did his truck. He has a template cut-out, and I just need to pick up a piece of matte black vinyl. It will be interesting with my skewp on there, but contrary to what others say, that damn skewp can glare like a sonofagun when the sun hits it just right.

The way the guy that did mine was he pulled out the guts of the skewp, did that separately and made the hood portion cleaner and easier.

That's what I was planning.

I think I will leave the skewp insert MGM though - give it a cool duo-tone contrast. Black and MGM are a great combo
