Better ballistics out of a 10.5 and up, subsonic will be quiet no matter what barrel length

Wasn't sure if you were going to use supers or not. I only get around 200fps more in the 16" upper vs my 8.2" upper. Using 125gr hornady ammo from a few years ago though. Subs are subs though!

On this same subject, does anyone know a decent place to shoot outside, hopefully close to the south side of Seattle? @bobsuruncle can vouch I’m a considerate shooter (and lover) and will leave it better than I found it

Still pretty new to the area so don't have anything else to compare it to locally, but the Seattle Police Association has a range south of the city. It has a civilian membership option. I don't belong, but shot there once during a Seattle Police Association open house and fund raiser. Nice facility.

Black Diamond Gun Club may be closer to you (based on Bonney Lake....)
    http://www.blackdiamondgunclub.org/

Paul Bunyan is probably REAL close, but members-only except for hunter sight-in (which is now over according to their webpage)

    Sweet!

Yeah that Paul Bunyan one IS really close, but unfortunately, like you said, its members only, and I found out you have to attend meetings too.

BD is only 30 min away, so that would be a great option.

    Appreciate it!

The Black diamond range is within ear shot of where we hunted that day.
