Thank you! If you guys do anything not too hardcore lemme know. My truck is stock with 265/75/16 tires on it (biggest that will fit). And they probably need to be replaced soon anyways. But I'd be willing to give it a shot!

I used to drive a 98 jeep wrangler with a 3 inch lift. And honestly my truck looks like it has about the same amount of clearance. Mine is also a regular cab so its close to the same length too!

Brett - great to see you back!! I was beginning to worry you traded in the Taco for a Prius or something!! JK.. Hope all is well though. I still owe you for your rescue mission to Cle Elum. That area is much different in the summer months. I have camped and hunted there recently. Liberty this past weekend would have kicked your butt!! Not sure if you got sliders yet, mine surely have saved me more than a few times there.

I hit up Crystal Ridge again earlier this week. It was eventful! There was a hillside on fire and I got myself into a possible roll-over situation. Winched myself to safety within minutes though.. Wendy the Winch is definitely one of my best investments.

Troy- the spot this happened at was the "detour" you took around where I winched last time.. Props to you for conquering that hill.. In a manual!! I started to turn up the hill too early and my rear tires started to slide off the edge into the loose rocks  I was then sure to maneuver around the log that gave me body damage last time and on the way out we were greeted by forest rangers who were shutting down the Table Mountain rd. (or whatever its called?? where you can over look the windmills) entrance due to wildfires.

Honestly - I have found that winching and recovery are just as fun as the actual wheeling and getting stuck itself! However, safety must be of top priority. Lots of opportunities for injury with winching..

Speaking of mod day next week.. I am thinking of getting in on the LR UCA group buy.. Sounds like shipping is super fast. If I order on monday I might have them by late next week. If I could have the assistance of somebody who has already done UCA's before - that would be stellar! I wouldn't be able to make it to Bellevue until 4ish or 5ish in the evening though.

You didn't go out there by yourself did ya?

That little detour is deceptive looking. Probably the most worried I have been off road. I just kept feeling the back end sliding out wanting to go off the edge and it was sickening.

I haven't done UCAs yet but as always I will be more than happy to lend a hand just give a holler.

boo. 23rd is my birthday and I'm down south meeting a special someone.
This weekend would have been perfect for mods. I'm having trouble getting a hold of my shop to do the balljoints.

Alan - just did my own UCA's - they were a pain in the ass figuring out the best way, but I've got it down to a science.

Thanks for telling me you were going back to Liberty....

DIY guide on here made it look insane, but I saw a YT vid of a Saturn being done and it looked cake. I might give it a shot with Dad on the 22nd just because I'm desperate.

I just did them, as mentioned above with the UCA's, and the biggest difference is the removal method, whether its destructive or non-destructive. Just need a few specialty tools.

If you do your UCAs at home and need help let me know! Otherwise I will head down to Wills next week if he decides to have another small mod day. The last one was way bigger than I expected.

Also, I'm open next weekend. But my truck is damn near stock so depending where you guys decide to go I may have to just ride along or somethinig.

Do it Alan. I've done mine with the help of Brandon and it was easier than I expected. Maybe we can even get him over next week for a mod day on Wednesday (at least that seems to be the day he has a little flexibility). :D

Hey Brett! Great to hear from you. I think I'll be taking Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off work. I did go to the company meeting but worked late so was practically falling asleep in my seat.

Think you might be able to get Wednesday off?

You guys think I need to get this fixed before I install my front bumper?

This. The threads that your lower bolt go into are in the inside of your bent piece. You cut off the excess that sticks out, leaving the threaded piece inside. As long as your bolt threads through with the new bumper you should be fine!

I didn't cut anything. I just unbolted it and used the bolt on my new bumper. Might be different bumper-to-bumper, though. I know it's different for Elite vs. Relentless
