Chris, you should have used Redline MT-90 for trans fluid...that stuff is somewhere about the best.

At what mileage did you change the fluid? I noticed a difference when I did mine.

You should! Although knowing what I know now I would probably get the 6000 lumen ones from okled. They are twice the price but put out twice the light. But I am extremely happy with them and they are amazing. Next time I go in the mountains at night ill take some night shots.

Did you replace your crush washers with the change?

Just did front and rear - I believe there's two (one fill/one drain) up front and two (drain/fill) in the rear. They're about .25/each from the dealership.

You're fine with that Valvoline.. I run Lucas Heavy Duty 75/140, but that's because I have aftermarket ring and pinions and a locker.

I hate working with gear oil, that sulfur takes days to get off of your hands. Found that a vacuum gun works the best for filling them. Also; for anyone else thinking about doing this..

    REMOVE YOUR FILL PLUG FIRST!!

    Nice lights...you did a clean install...looks good.

Those 6000 lumen ones from OKLed appear to be bright as hell.

They are from explorationoutfitters.com/collections/led-lighting and the 24w 3 inch LED cube. Second row down on the far right I believe. I would have gotten a dual row 20 inch for the middle except it didn't have the adjustable mounting brackets.

They are. My friend got them and they blow mine out of the water. Atleast with the amber cover, I can use my floods on the road. Spots are still to bright.

Any Washington guys interested in making a run on New Year's Eve or Day? I'm open to trying new areas however I'd like to keep it body damage free. We made a tonga ridge run about a month back, good area... I would have my rig and possibly three others attending (1st gen runner, late model toyota p/u, 1st gen tacoma). Let me know which day you'd prefer and if ya have any ideas for a spot. I'm south end but let's try to keep it somewhere to get the most amount of people out

FYI there are two offroad groups headed up tonga on the first. I would avoid that area if a large group from hear heads up.

Im heading up to Baker lake area to check the snow level today.

Jake, I saw that Lucas Heavy Duty 75/140 but I never really heard of lucas besides for dirt bikes so I went with Valvoline. I also reused the crush washer

True! Remove the fill plug first.. mine were not super tight.

I'm mind-fcked right now. Did you re-use your crush washer or you are correcting my sentence? LOL??

Yeah.. ECGS actually recommends it; primarily for aftermarket gear sets and lockers. Honestly, I don't really get too caught up in the "this oil is better than that oil"..

As far as the crush washers; that stuff is already such a mess - anything I can do to try and mitigate a leak is a plus. They're about $.25/piece..
