    I'd be interested in this.

Mike makes some great points and I respect them. We have a great local TW community and I hope everyone understands how complicated this Tahuya run has gotten. The meet got real big real fast for a small area.

Bad news for me is the shipping schedule went off the rails and turned upside down for me at work. Now it looks like I'm working Sat. night till 4 am Sunday. :(

Your location idea might be more doable for me. I can be to Beckler River rd. In a little less than 60 mins. So Foss River rd. Would be just as easy. I'll know my work schedule better as the week progresses.

I'd definitely be down for a snow run closer to home. Provided its somewhere my stock-ish rig could handle

Ya definitely keep me updated, I'd be down to go if more people went. I wouldnt take any less then 4-5 rigs up all that have good recovery points front and rear and recovery gear.. I wish I had a winch. My friends came in great use a few times last run we did.

If there were more stockish rigs going I would suggest not going to Tonga. My rig was the most close to stock one a couple weeks ago. it did fine but there were points where it was getting a little sketchy.

Maybe somewhere up I90 would be better for a more stock group..

If you are starting a second run, please start another thread before we cluster the hell out of this thread.

Sounds like Tonga is more my speed, but I've already got people signed up for Tahuya

    My group as it stands:
    Romeo - semi-experienced member
    13Greysled - newbie
    Stikle - newbie
    Spoon93 - ride-along

Jake, good points, I'd respond to some but I gotta get back to work.

I am not going to take on starting another run. But I will participate in a snow run.

If Tonga is somewhere you are interested in going I would be down to go a different time with the right group of rigs and drivers. I have a pretty good group of people who go up there and we have a blast.

I was afraid that we'd have too many trucks awhile ago, so I'm going to bow out on this trip. I pretty much just wanted to go just to get out, but I'll find other things to do. I'm looking forward to summer at this point.

They just changed my work schedule. I'll be working this weekend so I wont be able to make it to Tahuya.

I'm still going. Looks like Mike's Newby quota is filled so maybe Ben can lead another group if he is willing. I don't really care what group I am in, as long as I am there to have fun.

Since you started the 4wd bet, I should probably watch you to make sure you aren't cheating.

Ben, if Tallon is in your group as a rookie, put me in there as an "experienced" person.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
lol, yes I will help lead a group if needed, and also work with Mike to help facilitate a detailed "plan of attack" to make this work.

I had (have) a long-winded response and kudos to Mike and Jake for their input...but I am busy at work, and will post-up later.

I appreciate it but unfortunately I have duty weekend. Military blows in that aspect and I want atleast level mine before I take it up there. I was there a few weeks ago in my Ram and had a blast right after it rained. Little tough in such a wide truck but other than that it was easy going.

Well I walked into work tonight and they handed me tickets to Texas leaving Friday so it looks like my weekend is hosed. But hey it sounds like one less newbie to clog up the trail won't be a bad thing, have some fun and hopefully next one I can get in on.

Bright side is this trip will help pay for the Icon stage 3 kit I am ordering in the next week or so.

I'm itching for more of a snow run.. Even if it isn't the best snow. I haven't explored near Stevens pass/Tonga... Mostly forrest service roads? Any trails there too?

I went up the Mountain Loop Higjway to Barlow Pass 2 weeks ago. The road wasn't plowed, 9 to 12 inches of snow, 3 trees down across the road. So it was kinda like a trail. Stopped and hiked to the Big Four Ice Caves on the way back. There was an avalanche every 5 minutes average. Best not to get too close.

I'd be up for a snow run somewhere not too intense.
