This is why no one is fat in japan. Everyone walks everywhere. I averaged 10-15 miles a day when I was there on vacation. Back here I walk maybe 3 miles most a day and I have to make an effort to do so.

Thats pretty much what all the guys who go there for work form here say... youll be walking 5+ miles at a minimum every day. A lot of them end up buying a bike. But public transit over there is leaps and bounds better making it easier to not need a car and just walk

A little taste of last week's trip to Canyonlands and Moab area. Warm days, cool nights, and incredible scenery.

Beautimus. Would def love to visit this area.

Newb question: Can you go off trail/road? Looks like it would be easy to roam around there.

For sure. The White Rim trail in Canyonlands is a 100 mile off road round trip, but don't leave the dirt road. It's supposed to be very fragile ecology. We spent 2 nights there, but be sure to make reservations. The NPS limits the number of vehicles they let in. There are 2 other districts in the park that are supposed to be fabulous also, although I haven't visited them yet.

The rest of Moab is full of off road areas that we dispersed camped in. If you are feeling adventurous and your rig is built up a bit you can go in the park where Hell's revenge is right inside town. I didn't drive my truck there, but rented a UTV.

I unintentionally made it up van Epps trail today. There is about 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground at the summit, I’m really glad I put 35s on or else I would’ve been able to make it without sliders

Have two, they eat batteries like crazy though and I’m fresh out.

And thanks, I’m stoked that this was my first bobcat and he’s huge
