That is when there are heavier straps, rated for more weight, and more of them.

I was pulling a 20 ft flatbed a couple months ago loaded with logs, some of the logs hanging over the rear. I estimate it was about 13-14k lbs of trailer and load. The trailer was loaded wrong, and ended up fish tailing then peeled off the hitch and rolled. My safety chains were attached with carabiners, which of course straightened out instead of holding. The logs all stayed strapped to the trailer when it rolled into the ditch, as well as when it was rolled back onto the wheels by the wrecker. If those safety chains held, it probably would have taken my truck too.

Check the air filter first. New fuel second. I have occasionally put a splash of fuel on the air filter to help it start when too lean, but if it is already flooded, that won't help. Also look at the spark plug. That could be fouled by too rich of fuel mix. You may need to get a new fuel filter and lines. Old fuel can leave crystals, which block the line, or can block the jets in the carb.
After getting to this point, things start getting a bit more complex. Adjusting the carb (tuning), cleaning the carb, carb rebuild kit.

I am assuming this is all from not being able to get the saw started.

What size? According to Optima website, yellowtops for my truck are about $265-275 each, and I'd need 2

I watched this dumb fuck get high centered when he tried to drive through the grass to a frontage road off Airport way. Instead of shaving 30 seconds off his commute, he got left there until the cops showed up. I rolled my window down so he could see me laughing my ass off at him.

I missed what make and model you have but generally speaking the following applies

How long has it been sitting?

The airfilter will be right above your grip on the throttle. Pull the air filter and make sure it’s clean. I’d swap out the plug just so you know you’re GTG and while doing so check for spark, lay the spark plug on the cylinder head and slowly pull the starter cord you should be able to see it sparking (you can do at the painful way and just hold on to the spark plug while using the pull start, won’t cost anything bust maybe some brain cells and swear words). If it has been sitting for quite some time, you’re going to want to dump out all the fuel and pull your carburetor and clean your it. Mess with the least amount of turney screws on the carb itself to prevent the need for a carb tune.

It is a Stihl 011 AVT and I got it handed down from a guy that didn't want to bother even working on it.
I planned on getting a spark plug, some chainsaw fuel and clean it up.

not sure what that means but we did used to do Oil changes with the engine running. Had auto feed and evac system! Would suck out the oil and add it at the same time! Did a lower bearing Change while running once. Never again. Even with cyl disconnected was terrifying to climb in under the piston.
    Edit
Talking Wartsila giant 2 stroke bunker fuel engines that weigh about 120 tons. They have a door in the bottom of the cylinder so you can climb inside
    Also very smelly in there.

How does that work without evacing some of the new oil? Or is that just part of the process?

full change was usually about 120% of total capacity. At 100 hr intervals even 80% would be ok. Plus a 2 stroke on #2 bunker is dirty as shit anyway.

The newer camless engines are so much cleaner inside, even with HFO. Scav boxes still get filthy, but that's what cadets are for.
