I don't know about that. But "antique" firearms are those made in 1898 or earlier (or replicas even if made last week) that don't use rimfire or conventional center fire ammunition. Curio and Relic (C&R) firearms are those that are 50 years old or older, which is different than antique.

Maybe it's the C&R I'm thinking of? I have a family member in CA that will be sending some of their collection my way. Few of them are late 1800 .22 marlins among some others. I think their age is accurate as they explained the barrels on both are deteriorated enough that they'd need to be relined/machined to fire.

Oh, BTW, you'll be my FFL for those that need to be shipped appropriately :D.

Whats the better pass to come across during late Jan - early Feb? or is it better just to come up I5 from Portland? Im trying to plan my trip from DC to Seattle and want to try and avoid the shitty conditions if i can. But will be prepared if i needed.

Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) is the "main" East-West mountain crossing. They generally do a good job at keeping it open but it will shut down from time to time due to Avalanche Control, Accidents, or just to prevent accidents.

Best bet is to just check when you get close and decide from there. I-90 closes a lot more than other routes like US-2 and 410.

410 at Chinook pass will still be closed in Feb. It usually opens by Memorial day weekend or a little later.

Your beat bet is to take 84 through Oregon along the gorge. Then cut up from Portland. That’s what I did when I moved back from Bragg. Allowed me to hit salt lake, Denver, Kansas, and avoid going through Chicago. Kept me on a more middle of US route. Which was perfect to avoid where the weather would’ve been real shit.

only issue with that is coming down Cabbage Hill if its snow/ice and possible ice in the Gorge but i agree its still better odds than Snoqualmie

Thanks guys and yeah Snoqualmie was first idea but then looked at 84 as well or if both are bad just skirt over to I5 and hit up Portland for some good beer and then up.

@Bigheadtinyarms you read my mind haha that is literally the route I google mapped out yesterday. I have done that route to Chicago already enough these last few years as the wife has family near Notre Dame in Indiana.

With snowy air down season coming, anyone want for to purchase?
U makeup me offer. No glass beads.
ARB air kabuki thing with 25’ super high quality harbor freight line, and snorkel fish bowl for 3.5” snork. If u don’t want to choke ur snork with falling snow, this thing works great. Collects dust in the brown too. ( especially good when 5th truck back in line on a dry summer day.

I got it on tonight. Anyone with a CBI know how to get the factory fogs in there? I didn’t get anything but the bumper, fairlead and the side brackets. I haven’t been able to find any instructions how to in the research cave yet.648EB56A-762C-4571-8943-728504F8FF61.jpg

At least for the 3rd gen, they have brackets, both fixed (inside the bumper), and adjustable that you add to the lights themselves.
