I’m running oversized 33’s (295/75/16) with no rubbing on a -12 offset and no rubbing and a minor CMC and personally like the way it looks and is nice on the trails having wheels that stick out a bit

 

You are the exception, not the rule. I have 285s and rub w/ -12

 

255s are 1.5"(?) narrower. If you had 3/4" more clearance do you think you'd still rub?

 

Going to check out tahuya tomorrow- anyone got a recommended GPS track they would wanna share? Going to just go off and explore but figured having some general idea of where to go would be nice

 

Custom, or |-| in-between the lines "we only go by the computer", "toe n go" alignment?

My favorite thing in the fucking world is paying $15 to have something shipped to me so FedEx can just say "fuck it" and not even try to deliver it, so I need to go pick it up during rush hour.

Where are you rubbing?

 

I don't remember fedex being the bastard child shipping company but they defintely seem to be playing in the kids pool these days.

 

Mostly plastic. I've gotten rid of most of it with the help of a heat gun and some reshaping. Rubs on other stuff like the cab mount when I get flexy off-road with the wheels turned.

 

Ahh I just cut the plastic off with a box cutter didn’t even bother reshaping it and have you gotten a CMC done yet?

 

No CMC yet. Was waiting for Jim to be available but I don't think that's happening anytime soon.

If it bothers you enough you could always cut away the part of the mount you’re rubbing on and weld a plate on down the road, plenty of first gen guys have never welded a plate on and have done some serious wheeling with no issues

 

That's true...I should pick up some plates so I know where to cut.

 

I wouldn't buy prefabbed plates. I picked some up for super cheap, but made it hard to get a good cut.

 

I can do a CMC for members in need. Somewhat limited time but just throwing it out there.
