You had a shop do it?? Scared of everyone bitching how crappy of a job those spec-u headers were? You got the ARP header studs on at the same time right? How many hours and $ was that at the shop?

I think I developed an exhaust leak (not confirmed but sounds like it when the motor is warmed up) so I’ll probably pull the trigger on those same headers too when I get back up north but likely doing it myself. Not looking forward to it but I’m probably too cheap to pay someone else.

We did?! Shitfire! I want a set of those F5’s. I also just got a set of 16” SCS w/33”s on the T4R I’d like to get switched out for 17’s.

Kind of a weird one here.. decided to pull the trigger on the T4R. Will fix up the taco to sell, want to keep my 35’s or somehow get the T4R onto 35’s. Currently it has 33” on 16” SCS wheels. I can’t do a 1 for 1 swap as the taco has the big brake kit up front and can’t clear 16’s anymore. I suppose I could swap the whole spindle assembly from truck to truck and then be able to run the 16’s on the taco and get my 17’s onto the T4R.

also should have a decent 07 Taco for sale shortly.. I was going to list it for 10-12k.

Yeah right when he posted that his truck was for sale I hit him up to see if he was interested in swapping wheels, he wants to sell as is though. Why don't you just swap out the tires on the 4R with 35s?

It was there 3 days. They billed it at $290 a side no hrs. He said it was the third hardest set of headers he’s ever done in 24 years of wrenching. He said he’s done two different 67’ GTO’s that he had to undo the motor mounts and use a cherry picker to pull it up to get them in. Yes on the ARP studs... he said those sucked too to tighten. I paid him and thanked him and felt guilty as hell when I walked out.

Should have worded that differently, I meant replace the 33s with some 35s then sell the 33s

Just prefer 17’s to 16’s all day. Especially after the couple months at 4wp. There’s just so many more options from all the tire manufacturers

I always hear everyone complain how hard the headers are. Either my truck is oddly out of spec or I just dont get why people say that unless they try to do everything from above. Seriously pull the tires off, pull the splash guard thingy's off and you have access to everything pretty much. Just have a universal adapter for your ratchet. Took me like an hour to remove old ones and installs new ones. Like anything can be different if you have rusted out hardware. Even the 2012+ which are supposed to be harder I didnt find all that much harder either

Keeping an eye out for first gen parts fellas. I need a push button transfer case for my ‘02. Also looking for a good running 3.0 for a ‘94. Please pm me if you see anything out there. Thanks in advance fellas.
