You could do electrolysis. You’d need to find something big enough to hold your bumper but it works damn good.

I'd love to go along but my stupid job is too important because we need things like food and shelter. Y'all have fun and take some pics. I'm very interested to see what Tahuya looks like, I'm itching to get out next weekend and looking for new places to go that aren't snowbound.

Yeah it works good inside moto tanks. But WTF you gonna use that fits an entire bumper or sliders??

Oooh, if that's the case, I may want to hold off until I can get a rear diff breather.

I don’t have one and I am going. I will probably avoid the real deep/unknown stuff for the time being.

The cleanup or the frame? Haha, they’re still around? Or again?? I thought that’s where ICE went these days? The easy catch at schools and the HD parking lots

Are we talking about acid dipping a bumper or getting rid of bodies now?

Well there are some shavings on one of the transmission pan magnets closest to the filter. Haven’t dropped the filter yet as I got a little stuck trying to remove SL2 shift solenoid as the wiring clip isn’t wanting to free itself.

not looking to be on a good path here. :bananadead:

Just replace the filter. They cheap and cleaning the old one is nearly impossible and you’ll likely end up tearing the mesh

Yep I got a new filter on the way. I am not sure if these shavings are enough to be scared about though.

next step is testing through the solenoids. Probably creating unnecessary work for myself but I wanted to have a closer look at everything. It seems very commonly low fluid is the issue.

Well those shavings ain’t good!! That is not normal, I can tell you that. But, you might get lucky with a new solenoid, new filter and fresh correctly filled fluid. I would try.

So tested SL2 doesn’t respond to 12v but SL1 does so it is seeming there is some hope in this but who knows. Fingers crossed. Though I am probably going to go off brand from Rock Auto since I don’t even know if this will fix it and there’s $100 difference between OEM here

Good call I have the filter out of the truck now so I will do that tomorrow morning. Filter at a glance didn’t seem to have more metal on/in it though.

Rostra is exactly what I went for so that’s good to hear. All the parts should be here by Friday

As for complete stop, most of the time but cannot say if a recent getting recovery event leading to some more aggressive driving patterns to be honestly. Good to know that the particles appear small to y’all. Will report back when I check for more inside the filter.
