That JD crossmember is pretty wild. I stumbled across a YouTube video from a guy up in BC that has their long travel kit that actually drives his truck like he stole it and it looks like it handles everything he throws at it.

Suspension question: When is a rebuild necessary? By feel?

Have an OME medium kit that’s about 20-25K miles old. Weekend adventures (nothing crazy - FS roads) otherwise commuting on highway/city.

Things feel fine, but wondering if it’s necessary at X miles like an oil change?

Medium weight. Pistons front and back (non-res), springs front, leaf pack in rear.

Are you trying to fit a skid plate or trying to be proactive? If it’s the latter, I’d wait until you crush the pipe off-road. It might never happen and if it does, you’re still not paying more than you would now

Bunch of stuff bolted on, some cool, some not
I put a full set of Victory 4x4 skids on my truck about a month ago, been super happy with them. I went steel so they're heavy as hell but seem pretty freakin' stout.

Full steel is only like 50lbs more than full aluminum and the weight is down low so the difference in negligible. Good choice.

I've tried to get a quote from the Bellevue location. They are hard to work with. You either need to be there at 8:30 am the day you want work done or you're SOL. They won't even give you a quote or talk about what you want to do if you can't be there first thing in the morning since they only do first come first serve. Come at noon? SOL.

Sounds about right...tried to get a quote via email with pictures of what I wanted and they told me to pound sand and bring it in.
