i was severely over geared with 5.29’s and 35’s. Doing 70 mph on the highway with 35’s i was at 3500RPM, now I’m at 3000 on 37’s. It’s nice to not hear a 1gr screaming all the time

Are you welding them on/ creating a bracket or trying to run in slot tracks? I just Went with carriage bolts and star knobs with spacers.

Not going to weld anything. Just something to keep them up in my Prinsu rack. I was thinking about some internal threaded rod with a hole drilled through and a hole for a clip with a stud and a t nut in the slot. Maybe a if I can find a pin with external threaded end I can screw it in a t nut. Not a lot of options for a 1/2” with 1/4-20 threads. I’m going to stop by Tacoma screw tomorrow on the way home and see what they can dig up. I saw the Mattrax mounts and thought they might be the ticket.

i found some aluminum flat bar that was scrap, punched a hole in the center to run to my bed rails with t-nuts and drilled two holes the width of the mounts.

    Quick insurance question:

When filing a claim (comprehensive) the insurance co. has already removed my deductible ($500) from the estimate, but the shop is also claiming that I must pay them the deductible. Is this how it actually works?

You shouldn't have to pay the shop anything. Your insurance pays them, you pay your insurance. Call your agent

Thanks for the offer, I’ll see how it goes. I doubt there’s a patent on the hole but who knows. I can get the Maxtrax pins from Amazon, if they don’t work I’ll return them. Not sure when the boards will get here. I was hoping someone had put the two together and might know for sure. I went down the you tube DIY rabbit hole last night and came to the conclusion if I don’t value my time I can make make something cheaper. I don’t want to spend a half day on a Saturday conjuring up a mounting system to save $30.

The Oscar Mobile Hideout made by Last US Bag is probably one of the better higher end ones. Made with better materials and its easy to clean. That being said you can probably buy a new Trasharoo every year for the next 4 years and throw it away for the price.

Like the $120 touchless sensor automatic soft opening and closing kitchen garage can my wife bought to replace the cheap white plastic one. Gives me about 3-5 seconds to think about all the starving people in the world and I have to stand here and wait for the god damn garage can to open.

My wife even got sick of the sensor auto-opening trash can. We finally bought two nice stainless ones for the kitchen with the pedal. Love them. Instant/Handsfree open and soft/quiet close.

Angled might make getting a heavy ass tire on/lined up easier, straight looks better I think though
