    ye
Tom woods? I am on the as my next step and trying some other tires again. Though it’s more than likely my driveline. Drivelines northwest was saying my angles seemed fine though. I was thinking about having them do a custom shaft for me. They balanced mine and it helped a little but wasn’t a full fix.

I messaged drivelines northwest this afternoon looking for a quote on a 1 piece. I can’t imagine they’re cheap to ship and Tom woods are sold out until October. I know it’s my driveshaft because I can change the speed where my vibration starts based on how big the drop shims are on my carrier bearing.

Drivelines Nw quoted me like 1150 for a single piece rear, and Tom Woods' are like 650? And sucks about them being out until October, probably just waiting on flanges. But, you cant beat their customer service! Earlier this year, they had mine ready the next day

back when i installed my crawl box, i had my rear shaft turned into a one piece, and the front lengthened for like $$300. this was back in 2012 though and in VA. then in 2015 i had my rear shaft retubed after denting the hell out of it and it was less than 200. so anything more than that is just stupid. no i get tom woods cuz you probably going with a double cardan joint but damn. 1150 is stupid.

Yeah that sounds about right I asked too after the balancing and I thought they said something around $1,000 but didn’t want to butcher the price. They didn’t give me an exact because they even figured their too pricy for most applications. I don’t recall their reasoning on why they’re so much more expensive lol.

Yeah that is for completely new everything, and retubes are still around that 2-300 price you said

The guy I tried to work with said they have to piece everything together to make it work, and he didn't really like how long the shaft had to be so they wanted to go to a 4" dia when I believe my Tom Woods one is 3.5"

I've had drivelines nw rebuild both my axles after i did my swap, I just like them for there turn around time being short. Honestly your best bet is just throw a double cardan after the carrier bearing. will probably be half the cost of a new shaft and should solve all your problems. A good read is this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/single-and-two-piece-driveshaft-vibes-be-gone.475797/
He put a tom woods in than eventually went back to a two piece with a double cardan.

drivelines NW royally fucked up my brothers driveline on his Allison conversion. The sales guy essentially yelled at him to take the “correct” measurements the second time. He handed them the same measurements as before and it arrived three weeks late…

Will they use my existing driveshaft and just cut it and throw a cardan joint right after the carrier bearing?

You need one of these... Thanks again @Yetimetchkangmi for the idea/info, and also thanks @Digiratus for making it possible! Still vibe free a year and a half later!
