Does this get you a better angle somehow? It looks like it’s in the same spot but just flipped.

 

It does help with angle, but it's also housed in a poly bushing vs the factory bearing that has limited angle and disintegrates at angles that it doesn't like.

I had to make a mount for this, but it honestly wasn't hard and I used the factory bolt holes but with the spacer you see included to get the clearance from the frame. Just longer bolts with a couple pieces of pipe for spacers and a piece of flat bar on the bottom. That's as high up as I could get it. Before this I was running a drop kit with the factory carrier bearing.

 

I just gonna throw this out there… if you truly hate yourself by all means change your lower ball joints yourself and skip the loaded LCA’s for like $200. My driverside exploded when I heated it up with the torch sending the threaded end of the ball joint clear to the back of the truck after it bounced off the concrete. I about shit my pants when it happened.

 

All those tickets getting passed around, anybody else here?

 

yes, and if you throw the iedls center bearing in you should have zero driveline vibration

Thanks for bringing this up I forgot the double cardan from that thread. I was hesitant since I am not re-geared yet but it should still help with angles. Yeah it's the IEDLS poly bearing. I had to come up with a way to mount it, but the bearing comes already housed in the polyurethane bushing and installs on the driveshaft just like factory unit.

I just mounted one upside-down. Drilled and tapped the axle housing to mount the reservoir

Crazy thing is, in the third gen section, it wouldn't even be a surprise


Shocks went in fine, bit of a struggle compressing them enough but nothing an extra jack couldn't fix. If I could do it anyone could do it

 

What are the compressed and extended specs on those?
