Which bumper did you get? That line looks lower than usual.

 

Had a buddy do mine with an angle grinder. Turned out pretty well. The line didn't come out perfectly parallel with the bumper but I really don't ever notice it or care.

 

Got it mostly cleaned up today, before I was called for spring cleaning by the wife lol. After the edge trim I think it will be barely noticeable.

Relentless fab - picked up @tacotunner06s take off bumper and molle panel. Been looking for one for awhile but didnt want to buy new.

 

It's from @At The Helm and the cut is lower than most that are level with the taillight. I like the look better where you keep the body line and it saves a tiny bit of weight. The quality is top notch too, highly recommend ATH fab.

In that pic it's a 285/75 but i'm currently working on fitting the 35 kenda under there, the ATH bumper leaves a lot more room towards the rear of the truck than the factory tow package, I'm going to move my tire hoist an inch to the passenger side and as far back as i can without modifying the crossmember too much. The spare will barely rest on the driver side shackle hanger and will clear the diff by my measurements.

 

I highly recommend. I had his first 3rd gen bumper he’s made for the high clearance with swing out. Got rear ended in it and literally just got some scratches on my paint that I rattle canned over.

Thanks, that’s good to know a 34” tire fits there. I’m assuming your spare is also a 17” wheel. I’d love to see pics of that when you figure out if a skinny 35 would fit and what’s entailed!

 

Anybody interested in installing a deaver leaf pack? Finally picked up the drifter and my rear end is sagging, obviously. Have cash and beer, and really good at handing tools over.

PDX area but willing to drive, available m-f next week.
