Sitting in Auburn. Got delivered on Monday...

However, John is taking all the guys from the shop to Moab for a week for the Easter Jeep Safari so we can't get started until 4/21 :pout:

Fixed it, I'm a computer noob

That sucks, but good the engine is finally in. I'm wife free from the 15th-26th, so I was thinking of going camping myself over easter weekend.

Not sure yet. Haven't fully decided on it yet. I have new wheel bearings sitting in my garage I need to change out soon as well, but I don't have the torque wrench or the right sized socket at the moment. Need to do Spark plugs too, but I need a torque wrench for that again.

Maybe I will do that next week and just drive the wife's car for a few days.

I don't really have any plans that weekend (yet), and I am also free this Sunday if you need a hand. I have a torque wrench and the right sized socket (35mm).

Would probably have to borrow the g/f's car to get up there though.

We will see what the old lady says. She might have other things for me to do... I'll text you and let you know.

As for camping, it's Easter weekend that weekend. I won't have the wife or kid here but I really don't feel like going up to Bellingham or down to Salem to see family without them.

Pricing out a repair I've been putting off for too long now. It sucks too, because this is the side cash I want to use for a front bumper. My TOB is about to grenade I think, it's crazy loud! Looking at buying the URD TOB sleeve kit, stage 3 clutch and pressure plate, and a new flywheel. I might just pick up a short throw shifter while I'm at it and be done with this trans bs for a while. I love the manual, but its more of a love/hate thing!

Happy to hear your transplant is coming along Benson!

Thanks Mike, sorry to hear about your TOB. I miss the fun factor of a stick, but not the addtl. maintenance and parts that inevitably fail.

I can't wait to get the new engine in and make sure everything is good to go...it's been almost 3 months. [IMG]

I will need (moreso want) to do a full trans flush 'n fill soon after the engine is in, and assuming it's ready to drive.

Nice pics too! I like going down to LB. Camp at Cape Disappointment and then hit up Scoopers

Has anyone local had a one piece driveshaft made? I'm looking at having a double cardon shaft made and hear really good things about a shop in Portland,
(Six States) but I don't want to drive that far. DNW will make a shaft, but they won't fit it to the truck. I'm confident I can get the measurement they need correct, but don't want to drop $500 or more to have to run back and forth till I get the right piece made if there are issues. I like the idea of dropping off the truck and having it fit and tested before I pick it up.

I have not, but Peter (owner of Gitout.com) had a custom DS built by SixStates and it seemed to resolve any of his potential vibe problems. I'm sure you could contact him to get more specific info. about it. Here's his build: http://gitout.com/showthread.php?14...-TRD-Fully-Built-Platform-Ready-for-Adventure!

DNW is a great outfit. They retubed my DL when it was scored like a candy and cane and dented. Came out perfect.

Also, Tom Woods is another option for a one-piece, but they are all the way in Utah: http://www.4xshaft.com/
