Be wary of any shock relocation setup that puts both shocks on the same side of the axle. Shocks are on opposite sides to mitigate axle wrap, moving them to the same sides can have undesirable axle wrap effects.

have you bought anything yet? I’ve got the whole sua setup for sale.

and I would argue against that just due to valving being the only thing kind of helping but could also be argued it’s trying to twist the axle…but any thicker pack will also negate any axle wrap.

Axle wrap is from driveline acceleration, attempting to hold it with a single pivot point on one side of the axle isn’t nearly as stabilizing as holding it from opposing sides. We chased this issue on @White lightning boosted truck after he did a shock relocation. Ended up having to install a traction bar to control it, but ended snapping the welds. Some don’t have issues, but it is something often overlooked in consideration with doing the relocate.

I'm not disagreeing that axle wrap could be an issue with shocks on one side of the axle. From my understanding, it does seem like @White lightning boosted makes gobs more power than my stock 3rd gen, which has to factor in under hard acceleration. I would think that thicker/stiffer leafs and stiffer shocks would help offset it a bit. I'm on Icons at Option 2. There seem to be a quite a few folks on similar setups without really bad axle wrap. Or at least without knowing about it.

I saw your setup posted while lurking on one of the LT threads. Would have jumped on it but I already had Fox's and SOA springs in hand with the rest in the mail!

Traction bars need a virtual pivot point at the front to allow the arm to move forward and backwards while pivoting instead of a fixed location.

Yes, it was on a boosted truck making much more power than 3rd Gen.

It had pivot points. Axle wrap was so bad it broke the welds at the pivot.

hence bigger packs. my 539/540 hd pack had minimal if any axle wrap with the ls.

I noticed a lot less wrap with just RXT Option 1 packs.

Sounds like a heavier duty aftermarket leaf pack should be enough not have to worry about it too much.

What I’m really more concerned with is positioning the axle tab and setting the bump travel correctly for my setup. That’s why I was looking for recommended installers by anyone who’s had similar kits done locally.
