NW WA Meet / BS Thread

ISO: 05-15 elocker 3rd/core to send ECGS. Will return a core to whomever once I pull the elocker 3rd currently in my truck and install ECGS replacement.

This is a BS thread, so lets BS...
Back Story: I just signed up for MMA classes, located in Seattle that'd I'd like to commute to two/three times a week. I currently live in Kirkland (I'd never live in Shitattle) where my daily commute between work, the (regular) gym, and school is all with in 5 miles of eachother.
I'd love to just drive my truck all the time, but for sake of gas mileage I've been considering adding a new vehicle to commute with. My current picks are a Honda Grom (I already have my Motorcycle endorsement) or a Kei Truck. The grom would be cheaper, but it has the downsides of a motorcycle. The kei truck would be sweet, but it wouldn't fit in the garage that I share with my roommate, since I park my truck in it, whereas the grom would. Any thoughts? I've wanted the grom for a bit longer than I've wanted the Kei truck, but at least if I got the grom I wouldn't have two of the same vehicles. (My tacoma and theoretical Kei truck would both be 6 speed, 4wd and slow AF).

Also, just to note. I have a perfectly fine (and quite nice) road/commute pedal bike I could use, but that's no fun. I ride that for exercise

 

Sell the truck and change you name to 20somthingwithoutataco

 

why not a dual sport for commuting and then you can load it in the bed and take it with you on camping trips too

but between the 2 options listed I would do the grom

Well I’m 99.9% sure Bobs difff is a 4.30.

 

grom/monkey or buy an old dead rukus and put the 125cc grom motor in it.

With Moar power comes moar responsibility. In all seriousness, I want a grom because it's low power, and relatively cheap. I'd kill myself with anything above 300cc before a distracted driver could.

 

I'd love another project. But my last one didn't go so well "staying in budget" wise. If the grom didn't live up to my expectations (I've never seen somebody NOT having fun on one) I could sell it at the end of summer, since I likely wouldn't ride it in the winter, which is another plus for a Kei truck.

 

Ride your bike to the bus. Don’t sprang more money than your trying to save.

I'm talking the whole 8.75" axle, throw an eaton/harrop in it and not worry about blowing rear diffs anymore. Factory Elocker would be cool too but I havent seen how to make that newer locker work on a 2nd gen. The spare 8" elocker 3rd i have is also 4.30 but it needs rebuilt
